Painted Decisions

Picking a color to paint our dressers has been so tough! We both decided on one color we really liked, bought it, and Nick painted most of the nightstand with it. Too bad neither one of us liked it once it was on the nightstand  :(  So, we’ve tried 3 other colors this weekend, but I think we’ve finally decided – at least for now  :)

It’s still snowing here a little bit – it’s been flurry-ing (is that a word?) off and on all day. All the snow that was on the ground this morning is already melted, though. I’m not surprised.

Nick and I decided on our favorite place for a Sunday lunch – and it was so good.

I had my usual at the New River Grille– the buffalo burger and onion rings.

And right now I’m drinking a big glass of chocolate milk. I didn’t have much milk yesterday and haven’t had much yet today so I decided I needed a big, chocolatey cup.

One baking project is still in the works! I think it’s going well so far, but we’ve still got a few hours to go to see if we get the end result we want :)

Thanks for all the notes on my guest post today!  I appreciate it – I have to echo others in saying that this blogging community is amazing, and I’m proud and thrilled to be a part of it. I wish we all lived closer!!!

Snowy Breakfast

This is what I saw when I opened the door this morning

Of course, it will probably be all melted by lunchtime, like normal. I just want one good snow before winter is gone! Like good enough to get me out of work for a day  :)

I have to say – it was nice to cook breakfast with the windows open and watching the snowflakes come down.

What better on Sunday morning than a well-rounded breakfast?

Eggs, grits

And 1/2 a HUGE orange, a few strawberries, and one slice of bacon

Plus a cup of Love Buzz coffee   – this stuff is SO good

Well…I’m off!

Pizza Night Revisited

Well, I didn’t get everything on my list done today, but I finished most of it! Almost all the laundry is done, I finished one baking project (you’ll see later) and started another one, and we got to go running.

I think one reason I keep getting cramps is I just don’t run enough so I haven’t gotten past that point. I hope to start running more as the weather gets nicer, and maybe the cramps will give me a break!

Since I only used 1/2 the pizza dough last night, I knew I needed to use the other half for dinner tonight. This pizza wasn’t nearly as interesting looking as last night’s, but it was still good!

Nick’s half had sauce, pepperoni, mushrooms and cheese.

Mine had sauce, ham, mushrooms and cheese.

Plus a salad! An almost carbon copy of dinner last night  :)

I’ll be unveiling one of my baking projects tomorrow – I’m excited! I hope it turns out  :)

Lazy Lunch

Today has been so lazy and great – we needed a weekend like this! I’ve done two loads of laundry, found some recipes for some baking this weekend, and am helping decide what color we want to paint our dressers.

I really wanted to make a BLT once I saw Nick making one for lunch, but I had some leftovers that needed to be eaten, so I just heated those up.

Super quick, super easy!

Leftover Tandoori Chicken, Apricot Couscous, some steamed green beans and sliced tomato.

This was just as good today as the other night!

It is beautiful here today, so thank Mr. Sunshine for the nice lighting for my pictures.

I think it’s a bit warmer today so we’ll probably be heading out for a run sometime this afternoon.

On the agenda?

– Finish watching Barefoot Contessa :)

– Finishing laundry

– Run

– Dinner

– Starting one baking adventure this weekend – you won’t get to see it until tomorrow!

I hope you’re having a great Saturday!
