I have so much to say and no idea where to start!
BlogHer Food was such a fun experience and was also completely overwhelming at times. All the networking, information sessions, chit chat, and bonding over food is sloshing around in my sleep deprived brain. I’ve yet to really process some of the conversations I had, the people I met, and the tips and tricks I learned in the sessions.
After leaving Atlanta this morning and saying goodbye to all my new friends, I’m back home and so happy to see the mountains. I’m so happy to be home I almost didn’t mind the mountain of laundry waiting for me.
I think the best thing about the conference was the fact that we could meet so many other bloggers. I made some real life friends this weekend in just a few days, and it’s incredible to be around a group of people who share the same passions and interests.
On top of meeting hundreds of people, I really got to bond with a few girls – I miss them already!
Susan, my road trip buddy and co-conspirator, from She’s Becoming Doughmesstic
Tina from My Life as a Mrs.
Carrie from Fields of Cake
Leslie from The Hungry Housewife
Farihah, our fearless leader around ATL, from Spice’s Bites
Sues and Chels from We Are Not Martha
Shari from Tickled Red
Julie from The Little Kitchen
Danica (and her husband!) from Danica’s Daily
Kelly from Evil Shenanigans (have you seen her bacon + nutella pancakes?)
Lisa from Jersey Girl Cooks
Megan from What Megan’s Making
Robin at A Little Greener Every Day
Tami at Running with Tweezers
Chris at Mele Cotte
and so many, many more!
Day 1 of the conference started off with breakfast and an opening address before we broke out into the different sessions on visuals, vocations, voice, and vittles, depending on what we were interested in.
I ended up going to a few of the vocation sessions and a great basic photography class.
And in between each session, we had time to walk around and visit the sponsor tables, talk to the reps, and try samples.
I was so happy to see Bob’s Red Mill there – I love their products!
There were all kinds of samples: mango, chocolate tarts, POM juice, Dole salads and fruit, Bay’s English Muffins, Quaker oats, Scharffen Berger, and more.
Next recap coming soon! There’s a lot to tell.
Thanks again to Stonyfield for sponsoring me on this trip. I had a blast and was so thrilled to tell people about the new products coming out soon and represent them at the conference.

Sounds like a packed time but so much fun!
It was definitely non-stop!
Sounds like a great time! So sad I didn’t make it :(
I know – next year? :)
I’m SO envious!!! You got to go, AND you got to hang out with some of my favorite people! Isn’t Farihah just the best?? We had so much fun at Foodbuzz Fest :) Can’t wait to read more!
YES, she is so fun :) Which just means that we HAVE to meet in person at some point. I need a reason to come to Chicago, for sure :)
Haha, I feel so famous now! I have been very lucky to have met both of you, you guys are even more awesome in person! :)
What a great recap! I’m so glad you had such a wonderful experience! :)
Sad I couldn’t make it to the conference this year :( Looks like a fun first day!
So glad we got to meet! And I’m glad I got an invite to the pajama party ;) Perfect way to start the weekend!
Very nice recap for those of us that weren’t there! Glad you enjoyed! Look forward to more
What a great weekend it was! Great recap!
It was wonderful to finally meet you. I am glad you enjoyed your time here in Atlanta. Hopefully, you’ll be able to get back here one day and see a little more of our city. :) Can’t wait until next time!
I know – I hope I can come back just to see the city sometime.
What a fun conference!! I love Bob’s Red Mill too :)
looks like a lot of fun. will you be going to blogher in san diego?
I’m not sure yet! It’s so $ with travel and everything…but it would be so fun!
I’m honored to be on your list! It was great meeting you, sharing ice cream in pajamas, and generally learning and partying alongside you.
Can I ask a favor? Looks like you took my blog from my Twitter. I didn’t realize that old blog was linked to my Twitter still. If you could change the link you have for me from A Little Greener Every Day to http://www.southjerseylocavore.com/ , I would really appreciate it. That’s my food blog and it’s current. The other one has been inactive for almost a year. If it’s too much trouble, don’t worry about it.
Thanks for being one of the wonderful girls that made my first BlogHer really memorable.
done and done :)
Glad you had such a good time! Can’t wait to read about the rest of the conference! :)
Ahhhh..thanks for the shout out. You took some great photos. I was suck a slacker!
What an incredible experience! I so wish I could have gone!! I think the best part must be meeting the other bloggers, but the products and information learned sound just fantastic too!
Ahh.. it looks like you had such a blast Brandi. I’m excited to read more about it!!
That looks awesome! I went to BlogHer last summer and it was fun, but I think BlogHer Food would have been a way better fit.
sounds like such a wonderful time, Brandi!! You have blogged the event so well!
thanks so much! it’s crazy how much went on :)
SO jealous!!! Looks amazing. :)
It so awesome to meet you!!! I love your pictures, I wish I took more. I can’t believe it’s over, hope to see you again this year and hope to keep in touch, you’re so awesome!
Ditto! :) We’ve got to meet up again – and soon!
jam-packed for sure, but totally worth it i bet! i’m jealous :)
Great recap photos!
I didn’t get a chance to meet you at BHF11, so I’m officially introducing myself to you now! I think you may have been a row or two ahead of me on the bus trip back from the Sweet Auburn Curb Market.
I look forward to following your blog and seeing what you do next!
-Lori
Thanks for the note! I’m sad we didn’t get to meet in person!
