Today was beautiful outside, so we decided to run outside after work instead of going to the gym.
About an hour before we left, I had a Blueberry Z-Bar!
Review: This was my first time trying the Blueberry Bar, and it is by far my favorite!!! It smells and tastes like the best blueberry poptart ever! You can see little bits of blueberry in the bar and it still has the little drizzle of icing on the top. I’m glad I tried it, but a little sad too – I got this at the Trader Joe’s near my parents, but we don’t have a Trader Joe’s or Whole Foods and I can’t find this flavor anywhere around here! I have tried the Chocolate Chip and Honey Graham before and liked them, but this one was awesome!!! Definitely try it if you get the chance :)
We ran for about 30 minutes and then headed home.
Dinner was leftovers from last night – the pasta was actually better the second time. I think the dressing had time to soak in to everything.
After we ate, I ran to the grocery store to get a few things since we have a busy day today. I got back home around 8:30, put everything away, made some popcorn with olive oil and sat down to watch What Not to Wear.
I laid down on the couch when there was about 15 minutes left of the show and was planning on getting back up once it was over to blog – well, I woke up on the couch around 12:30 instead! So, we just got up and went to bed :) Oops!
Be back soon for the breakfast post! It’s in the making right now. :)
Since I couldn’t eat after 10 pm last night, I was starving by the time I got to the doctor’s office this morning. I picked up some breakfast before going into the office so I would have something to eat.
This little coffee place near us, The Easy Chair, makes really good bagel sandwiches, so I got a “Hammich”: Egg, Ham, and Cheese on a whole wheat bagel.
It’s actually smaller than it looks – they don’t use use those huge bagels, thank goodness! This is the perfect amount.
I also had a fat free peppermint mocha (aka, my favorite thing ever), with just half the amount of syrup they normally put in.
And a banana for some fruit!
Work has been busy today, which made the morning go by pretty quickly.
I ran a few errands at lunch before sitting down to eat. I made some chicken salad earlier this week, but haven’t had any since I was trying to eat some of our leftovers. I’m excited about it today!
Curry Chicken Salad Wrap
The chicken salad is a mix of:
rotisserie chicken breast, diced
green grapes, halved
curry powder
salt
green onions
ff plain yogurt
Yum!
I’m also having the rest of my steamed veggies from yesterday and some strawberries/clementines.
I ended up not eating any of the no-bakes last night during LOST, so I decided to put on one my oatmeal this morning :) After all…they’re mostly oats.
This is one of the best bowls of oatmeal I’ve ever had:
1/2 cup oats, 1 cup water, pinch of salt
1 Tbsp sliced almonds, stirred in at end
1 Tbsp coconut sprinkled on top
1 no bake cookie crumbled on top
Yum! This really tasted like an Almond Joy! It would have been even better with some almond extract in the oats, but I didn’t have any.
Lunch is almost a carbon copy of an earlier lunch this week – since the roast didn’t work out last night, I couldn’t have that for lunch today.
Still a good lunch – although you might be sick of seeing this picture again :)
Wheatberry Dish – the rest will go in the freezer tonight for quick lunch/dinner needs later on.
Steamed Broc and Cauliflower
And clementines!
I know, I know. I’ve had them every day this week – I just can’t help it! They are so good right now.
