stitch fix 1

I'm sure some of you have heard of Stitch Fix, but if you haven't, well...welcome to my new favorite thing.

Basically, it's like having your own stylist who sends you fun mail - you fill out your profile online to pick what styles you like, colors you love, and what kinds of things you'd like to get in your "fixes". You also get to choose how often you get a "fix" in the mail. There are 5 items in every fix, so when it shows up, you can try everything on at home, pick what you love to keep and send the rest back.

My latest fix came this week and I really wanted to keep everything, but - like normal shopping - not everything works perfectly every time. I was totally in love with that owl-print shirt dress above, but the color just wasn't good on me. Otherwise, that definitely would have stayed in my closet.

I fell hard for this striped dolman top (and am wearing it today, actually!). I don't normally like dolman sleeve tops on me, but this one fit great AND it feels like pajamas.

I ended up sending back 4 of the five items (mostly because the colors just weren't good on me), but the great thing is, the package comes with a pre-paid bag to send everything back in. Easy.

Once you know what you're keeping, you just fill out your fix info online, mail your non-keepers back, and then set up your next fix! I think the thing I love the most about this is that I get things that I can't find in stores here. The shopping near me is not very good, so it's nice to find new brands and items that not everyone else in town has. And, getting mail is always fun.

Each fix costs $20 for the styling fee, BUT if you keep anything, you get the money off your order since you already paid it for the fee, so it works out great! And, honestly, it's kind of fun letting someone else pick items for you. I've tried on things in these fixes that I wouldn't normally pick out for myself. It's good to get out of your comfort zone a little bit.

If you haven't tried Stitch Fix, I hope you do! I think the link above is a referral link, but I have what that actually means - I just wanted to tell you guys about it! I am officially in love with my new shirt.
