My Migraine Triggers Review + Giveaway Winners!

Welcome back to headache central!

Actually, I’m happy to say that I’ve only had one headache in the last few weeks, and it wasn’t a migraine – yay for that!

A few weeks ago, I told you guys about the new app that helps you track your migraines and figure out possible triggers so you can keep them under better control – or at least avoid the things that make them worse.

And after just a few weeks of using it, I love it!

The app is extremely easy to use, it asks questions that keep you thinking about possible triggers each day, and it puts everything into little charts and tracks everything for you so you don’t have to worry about forgetting something.

Plus, it also gives you the option to email your information directly to your doctor or printing it out to take with you.

I don’t know about you, but anytime I’m in a doctor’s office, I feel like I always forget something important to tell them or ask them. Having your information sent to them or printed out before you go will make it so much easier to explain what’s going on and get the help you need.

No matter if your migraines hit every week or every other month – or if you’re lucky enough to not have migraines at all – they can be incredibly painful and debilitating. And with all the advances in medicine, it still seems crazy that migraines are so tough to control. Since migraines behave in so many different ways for different people, it’s difficult to diagnose and to figure out triggers, as well.. Some people may have environmental triggers (bright lights, scents, and noise) while others may be more sensitive to chemical triggers (foods, drinks, or ingredients).

Regardless of how bad your migraines might be or if you suffer from regular headaches, tracking can help you find out what your triggers are, what to avoid, and ways to help keep them at bay.

And now – the fun part. The winners!

Excedrin offered 2 relief kits for me to giveaway, and the winners are:

i get really bad muscle tension headaches that i can’t get rid of. caffeine sometimes works, but if it’s at the end of the day i’m always hesitant. they’ve been happening more frequently, and i can’t quite figure out what the trigger is… so maybe even i can try that app!?

I get migraines, and they suck!

I found that taking (seriously!) Excedrin Migraine at the first hint of a migraine, coupled with some form of sugar and caffeine helps immensely. Also, I like an ice pack on the back of my neck/head.

I have (mostly) figured out what triggers mine, but an app is a great idea! I will check that out!.

Congrats!! Please email me your information (branappetit at gmail) and your prize pack will be on its way!

  1. What a clever app! I hope you find it helps; I used to have terrible, debilitating migraines, but they faded once I stopped eating processed food. I suspect now that my sodium levels were probably through the roof! The things we don’t know…

  2. yay for only one migrane the past few weeks! that app definitely sounds cool, hope they come out with it for android soon :)
