I showed you the smoothie party and the yogurt get together. We’ve gone over what you should do at these conferences (and what you shouldn’t). But I have to show you the conference itself, so you’ll understand the craziness.

First – Seattle was super fun. Except for a big storm Thursday morning, the weather was nice. No need for rain boots, thank goodness, since I definitely left mine at home.

This is what breakfast looks like at BlogHer Food.

A lot of bloggers. A lot of coffee. A lot of noise – Todd and Diane were probably sorry they gave us a talking break during their presentation. Sure was hard to get that room quiet again.

Just outside the main room, all the vendors and sponsors had set up shop.

This guy was making chocolate – chocolate! – during breaks.

Oh, and then I found my crazy-fun-and-equally-obsessed-friend Bev and finally got to give her the Phillip Phillips shirts I got for us. Do you follow us on twitter? Then you’ll understand. If you don’t? You missed out on some hilarious stuff. And more every day.

Just like every BlogHer Food conference, there were the main opening sessions, breakout options you could choose from, a lunch break, more breakout sessions, and then parties and get togethers all. night. long. Repeat the same for the second day. Sleep somewhere in the middle.

During the lunch break, Carrie, Megan, and I headed over to the Pike Place Market – one of my favorite parts of this trip to Seattle.

There were fish flying all over the place…

blue skies (finally!).

and a photography class we accidentally tromped right through while staring at the gorgeous flowers in the market.

But the highlight of this entire trip was finally getting to meet Kristina and Chandra from Stonyfield. I’ve been talking to these girls for years over email, but this was the first chance I had to meet them face to face. We had a blast getting to know each other over smoothies and yogurt, and had a nice, quiet dinner with Amelia on our last night in town.

So those smoothies.

I’m still thinking about this chocolate caramel one, but I think most people downed their superfruit flavor even faster! Who knew girls would choose fruit over chocolate? Not me. And I didn’t. But these are both worth making and super easy.

  2. Scoop the frozen yogurt into a blender and add the yogurt and milk.
  3. Blend until everything is combined.

Superfruit, Blueberry, and Banana Smoothie
