Stonyfield Smoothie Party

It’s chilly. And rainy. In Seattle.

Shocker.

When you’ve got weather like this, there’s only one thing to do: make smoothies. Drink them with friends, in pajamas or at least without your rain boots for a few minutes. And maybe a feather boa, if you have one laying around. This is what happens at these conferences.

I’m in Seattle this weekend for BlogHer Food, thanks to Stonyfield, and tonight, I got to hold a little yogurt and smoothie tasting party in our place for some old friends and some new ones.

Stonyfield sent a bunch of their Oikos yogurts (the caramel and super fruits are still my favorites) and their Oikos frozen yogurts to sample tonight.

As soon as I opened the box and saw their Oikos Chocolate Frozen Yogurt, I knew one smoothie I wanted to make – a chocolate caramel milkshake using the caramel Oikos, the chocolate frozen Oikos, and a splash of milk. It was sweet and definitely dessert-y without being super rich, which was nice. You could still taste the little tang from the yogurt, so it could pass for an afternoon snack, too.

And for a more traditional smoothie, I whipped up a mix of the Superfruits Oikos flavor (one of the BEST) with some frozen blueberries, banana, and splash of milk.

It was a smoothie and yogurt feast.

We had a great group of bloggers here, along with Kristina and Chandra from Stonyfield, to spread the yogurt love, try new combos, and get to know each other.

And if you’re looking for the softest tshirts ever? Get one from Stonyfield. They brought a bunch of super soft shirts and cookbooks and coupons and cute water bottles to raffle off and, even better, everyone won a prize!

After a night full of yogurt and smoothies, I’m ready for a good night’s sleep…and some more yogurt for breakfast.

The conference starts tomorrow – if you’re here in Seattle, come say hi! If you’re not here and want to see snippets of two crazy days of food bloggers, you can follow along on twitter and instagram – Happy Friday!

Huge thanks to Stonyfield for sponsoring me to come to BlogHer Food this year – I love this company, their products, and their mission and I’m happy to be here to help represent them. They really are one company I admire and am excited to have the chance to work with them.
