Since I needed to help with quality control and all that, I made my first ever batch of homemade frozen yogurt this weekend.
Holy moly.
Storebought does not compare at all! This froyo was exactly how I like my frozen yogurt – not too sweet, but not too tart.
And…I added chocolate chips because vanilla is always better with a little chocolate.

Fudge ripple. I love using my kitchenaid for ice cream. Jello puddings work great for ice cream, too. I love the chocolate pudding, white chocolate, cheesecake, there are many puddings flavor to try. Yum!
Brandi….I love homemade ice cream but haven’t had it since I was a kid! Had one failed attempt at it last summer when I pulled out an ice cream maker given to us by my hubby’s aunt/uncle. I think I was too impatient and didn’t let the container stay in the freezer long enough before hand. I saw the old fashioned ice cream maker from my childhood (ice and rock salt) and wondering if that would just be easier. I don’t have a lot of freezer room for those containiers.
What are your thoughts?

My favorite depends on my mood but I always love coconut ice cream or Ben & Jerry’s makes an apple pie ice cream that is to die for!!

Omg I NEED a frozen yogurt maker!! I’ve had my eye on one for forever! My fave frozen yogurt flavor is probably mint and my fave ice cream is definitely coffee with lots of chocolate mixed in!

I know, right?? A friend of mine just hand-me-downed her iced-cream maker, and I’ve been going nuts looking for the perfect recipes to use in it. I love vanilla iced cream, but of course I’m a sucker for coffee, too…
For me it has to be Superman icecream every time. If I go to coldstone creamery though it must be their sweet cream with some cinnamon, toasted coconut and a few pecans!

I love peppermint candy (and yes, it has to be pink!) but it’s seasonal so that’s an issue. Would love to make it myself!
