Homemade Izzes (Sparkling Juice)

Sometimes…water just doesn’t cut it.

I’m weird about water.

I never want ice in my water until it’s 100 degrees outside. Room temperature is best, and it’s even better if I’ve got a fruit slice or something in the glass.

But when my morning coffee or tea time is over and plain water just isn’t cutting it, this fizzy drink steps in and takes over.

Have you ever had an Izze drink?

They’re a healthy soda – just fruit juice and sparkling water – which means you can make them at home for cheap!

Bonus: These take 2 seconds to make, you can make them super low calorie compared to the bottled version, and you can do whatever flavor you like.

My favorites to make at home so far are:

Sparkling Orange Juice and Sparkling Cherry Juice

To make:

Pour your 100% juice in a glass (I usually use about 2 oz.). Fill the rest of your glass with sparkling water.

Serve.

Want to make your own juice blend? Go for it!

Try pomegranate grape or orange cranberry or blueberry cherry.

Add some sparkles, and you’re good to go.

  1. This is how I get myself to drink water too — and ever since I got a Soda Stream, it’s even easier! My latest favorite is using fresh pineapple juice – even just a splash tastes so good with sparkles!

  2. So easy and simple! This would probably make a great homemade gift too in a cute glass bottle!

  3. Such a simple and easy idea!!!

  5. Agree, what an easy and refreshing idea!

  6. Love it! Water sometimes can get boring :)

  7. I do this all the time! Gives the water a little kick of flavor, and the bubbles make me think I’m drinking soda.

Great way to get a few extra ounces of water in each day!

  8. So simple! I wonder if I juiced a few blood oranges right into a glass, how it would be. I’m going to guess delicious…

  9. My husband thinks I’m a weirdie because I don’t like my water ice cold, lol. Glad to hear I’m not the only one! Definitely going to try this. I’ve been trying to cut out soda but often crave some carbonation. This will work perfect!

  10. This is such an awesome idea… Sometimes I’m in the mood for something fizzy but don’t want to drink anything too unhealthy. I’ll definitly have to try this!

  11. Omg this is genius! I love Izzes but don’t love the calories or sugar in them! This is such a great way to make them healthier and so, so easy! I too, love anything bubbly so this might be my new fave drink!
