Pound Cake Recipe Round-Up

I made my new favorite pound cake recipe last night….but it was dark at 6:45 so I couldn’t take pictures. Fall is moving too fast! I’m not ready for after 7 am sunrises and 6 pm sunsets yet.

Since I can’t share my newest recipe yet, I thought it would be fun to a round-up – there are so many great pound cake recipes out there!

This Orange Yogurt Pound Cake was my first try at a pound cake last winter. It turned out delicious and is all whole wheat, if you believe it.

The Cookies’n’Cream Pound Cake happened after I finally found vanilla bean paste and wanted a reason to use a ton of it. Vanilla yogurt, vanilla + chocolate sandwich cookies, vanilla bean paste in the cake AND in the glaze…it’s a good idea. A warm slice of this and a glass of milk is a great afternoon or after dinner snack.

The Vanilla Confetti Pound Cake was just an excuse to use up the rest of my super bright sprinkles that I was addicted to this summer. Plus, pound cake + frosting? That’s never a bad thing, especially when sprinkles are involved.

  13. Pound Cake is my specialty and I have been making it as such for twenty years. The odd things is I am not sure where my attraction for making this cake came from. I don’t remember my mother ever making it and the ones I ate as a child were in restaurants, and I’ve never found a very good one while eating out. Anyway, thanks for thinking of this idea and here are my two best recipes.
