Video Debut and 3 Important Things

1. Alright.

Despite all the nerves and how weird I think I sound on camera, I finally made a cooking video.

But not just any cooking video.

I made my entry into the Bob’s Red Mill Spar for the Spurtle Contest!

If you have a minute and want to watch me laugh at myself when I add the wine to the pan (seriously), please click here to watch the video and “Like” it – it will help my chances to make it into the cook-off in Portland!

2. I’m sure you’ve heard by now, but if you haven’t, The Great Fundraising Act is happening on Monday, July 25th.

There are tons of things up for auction, the chance to donate monetarily if none of the offerings float your boat, and it will just be a day of fun bidding wars to help support Susan. This blogging community truly is amazing, and I can’t wait to see what happens on Monday.

Speaking of that, you’ll be able to bid on a batch of my Browned Butter cookies in the auction:

Winner will get their choice of chips/mix-ins!

3. Another shout out for Yahoo! and their initiative to support Share our Strength. You can support Yahoo!’s $20,000 commitment to Share our Strength, too!

This is a quick (30-second) way to say “thanks” to Yahoo! for its partnership with an organization working to end hunger in the America.

To show its appreciation, Yahoo! has committed to donate $20,000 to Share Our Strength on behalf of US, the Foodbuzz community of publishers and readers.

In turn, you have the opportunity to show your support of this partnership by setting Yahoo! as your homepage by clicking on this link.

Like what they’re doing? Let them know by changing your homepage!

Here are two things you can do raise awareness about this important cause:
1. Make Yahoo! your homepage now.
2. Share the campaign with your Facebook friends and Twitter followers.
