7 Links

by admin on July 31, 2011

Thanks to Julie, I got tagged for 7 links!

THE GOAL

To unite bloggers (from all sectors) in a joint endeavor to share lessons learned and create a bank of long but not forgotten blog posts that deserve to see the light of day again.

THE RULES

1) Blogger is nominated to take part

2) Blogger publishes his/her 7 links on his/her blog – 1 link for each category.

3) Blogger nominates up to 5 more bloggers to take part.

4) These bloggers publish their 7 links and nominate another 5 more bloggers

5) And so it goes on!

6) We’ll be sharing the best posts from participating bloggers on our blog and everyday on Facebook and Twitter at #My7Links

Most Beautiful:

Call me impartial, but this was probably the most meaningful post I’ve written.

Most Popular:

Not surprisingly, my Browned Butter Cookies are now the most popular! Exciting for sure, because they were delicious.

Most Controversial: I got nothin’. Seriously – do I need to write more controversial posts? I guess cookie recipes don’t get people riled up very often. I’ll work on it. :)

Most Helpful: I’d like to think that these are the most helpful posts, because they definitely made things easier for me!

10-minute ricotta cheese

How to make your own greek yogurt – in a crock pot!

Fool proof homemade bread

Surprise Success:

I’m always surprised that I still get so many hits on these Zucchini Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins – but they’re definitely worth it!

Not Enough Attention:

This frozen chocolate dipped cookie dough (vegan!) definitely got some attention when I first posted it last year, but I thought it would carry over. Either way – make these! They are so easy and a nice treat for a hot summer day.

Most Proud:

There are 2 posts that still make me smile and give me goosebumps when I see them.

1. Making our goal of raising $1,000 for Jovenes this past December.

2. Seeing my first published article.

This was fun to do!

And I’ll get working on writing some more controversial posts…

As for my tags…I’m picking:

Holly

Kacy

Sues + Chels

Tina

Jessica

Honduras, Our Second Home

July 28, 2011

I realized that I didn’t build up this trip very much this year. To tell you the truth, it has completely snuck up on me. I still can’t believe that it’s been a year since we were there. It didn’t feel like it was time to go back, although I’m extremely excited about it! This [...]

July 27, 2011
IMG_4092

Okay. Hopefully by now, you’ve made your ricotta. Right? Good. Now we’re going to make our new favorite pizza. Remember those fig bushes in our yard? Well, the figs are finally starting to ripen. So far, they’re ripening just a few at a time. I’ve started picking them just as they start to turn and [...]

10 Minute Rosemary Ricotta Cheese

July 26, 2011
IMG_4086

Who wants to learn how to make homemade ricotta cheese? What if it only takes 10 minutes? And the only equipment you need is a microwaveable bowl, spoon, and colander? Are you in? I was reading through my latest Cooking Light magazine last week and saw a recipe for Linguine with Quick Lemon Ricotta that [...]

July 22, 2011

1. Alright. Despite all the nerves and how weird I think I sound on camera, I finally made a cooking video. But not just any cooking video. I made my entry into the Bob’s Red Mill Spar for the Spurtle Contest! If you have a minute and want to watch me laugh at myself when [...]

Oatmeal and Zucchini Chocolate Chip Cookies

July 22, 2011
IMG_4020

If you were to ask me on any given day what my favorite cookies are, it would (more than likely) be some classic, crispy on the edges but soft in the middle chocolate chip cookies. Buttery. A little nutty from some whole wheat flour. And ridiculous chocolate chips that stay just the tiniest bit melted [...]
