Dear Sunday,

Is there any way you can turn back time and start over again tomorrow?

Or maybe somehow add another day to my weekend?

It’s been fun – spending time with my sister and family and friends, missing my brother-in-law, drinking lots of good coffee, making homemade pizza, baking brownies, making pot roast, telling stories, watching The Avett Brothers on PBS, flipping pancakes, baking banana bread, watching funny videos on YouTube.

I’m not ready for this weekend to be over. I’m not ready for work tomorrow. I’m not ready to type up all these recipes and sort through the pictures.

I want to eat and drink and talk and tell stories and get up and do it all over again.

And, we finally took some pictures together! Both me and Tiff and me and Nick.

Nick and I don’t have any recent pictures together (as you probably know, since I really only take pictures of food), so we recruited Tiff to take a few. And we made sure to take them before we changed into our normal weekend clothes – holy jeans and t-shirts.

I’m going to check on the pot roast and get back to enjoying my evening.

I’m really hoping that I’ll wake up to one more day off. Is that at all possible?

You know you’re my favorite day.

Love,

Brandi

p.s. Thanks for the beautiful weather today. It’s nice to have a break from the rain.

    Dad

  6. Seriously, why can’t there be two Sundays per week? That would be great.
    Love the pictures!

  7. Amen sista! One more day…one more Sunday. But at least it is a 4 day week this week! I have some major cooking to do, need an Easter post for my blog!

  8. You know how I love to pen letters to days and inanimate objects: :) I fully support this!

You look beautiful in the photos and so do the pancakes. Good Lord.

  9. You two are adorable!!! Cute picture :)

  10. I wish we had to go to work 2 days a week and had off the other 5. I would really like that!
Sounds like you had a great weekend! I’m loving the look of those pancakes! :-D

  11. hehe :) Sunday is so bittersweet. The pictures turned out super cute. I always feel kind of sad that I take SO many pictures of food and so few pictures of people ;)

  12. I’m always sad when Sundays are gone. Then comes the grumpy monday and nobody likes that.

  13. Finally some updated pics! You, Nick, and Tiff look great!

  14. Sunday is my favorite day, too! It actually feels like Sunday right now -or even Saturday!- because we’re at Ari’s family’s home for the Passover holiday.

Love the photo of you and Nick… we don’t have very many of the two of us, either!

  15. You two look adorable, and your hair is so long!! Lol, I guess it has been two years since I saw you in person. I am liking the long hair ;) Does Nick like your hair long or short better? Or does he even care? (I know many boys don’t)

    • I know – it doesn’t seem like it’s been 2 years!

He likes it both ways, but I think we’re both enjoying it longer right now. It’s been a long time since I’ve had it long and had no bangs, so that’s fun!

  16. I love Sundays! I feel like I always have the perfect balance of productivity and relaxation on my Sundays. I think it comes from the feeling that I have just one day left before the work day begins and I really want to make it count. By the way, that’s a great picture of you and Nick; it looks so spring-y and light!

  17. Love your necklace and yes Sundays are so bittersweet, i always feel relaxed since I had saturday off but sad i have to go back to work the next day!
