The surgery went as well as we could have wished. They drained and removed the large cyst on the right and did the same to a smaller cyst on the left. The doctors also took care of some spots of endometriosis while they were in there, which should make things better.
I feel a bit like I was run over by a bus, but the pain meds help. The worst part is actually something that no doctor warned me about. When they do a laporoscopy, they blow up your stomach with carbon dioxide so they can see inside – what they don’t tell you is that those gas bubbles move in your stomach and into your shoulders and that those moving bubbles cause horrible pains with every breath. But again…thank goodness for pain pills. It was pretty bad yesterday morning but today has been a little better.
We should be going home soon.
Until then, I’m sure I’ll still be here – resting.
Thank you for all your notes and thoughts and prayers. I appreciate every one.
