It’s this type of weekend that reminds me why I love fall in Virginia.
Friday night, Nick, Maggie and I took a drive after work. He was scoping out possible hunting/hiking spots and, since we were in the “neighborhood”, we stopped a Glen Alton Farm to let Maggie run around before it got dark.
While we were there, people were setting up for a Saturday wedding! ‘
I’ve decided Nick and I need to get remarried so we can have the ceremony at Glen Alton :) I LOVE that they had it set up out on the pond, and they had hay bales set out for the seating. So fun! Tons of flowers and pumpkins – I bet it was beautiful yesterday.
As for Saturday, it was a perfect fall day.
Gorgeous weather.
An invite to the Hokie game with some friends!
Go Hokies!
We ended up cooking dinner with some friends and having a nice evening in, eating, talking, watching football, celebrating, and enjoying my first ever pots de creme. Delicious.
Happy Sunday!
Today’s going to be busy, but fun!
How’s your weekend?

Looks like a picture perfect fall day with some great activities mixed in there. Good for you!
We enjoyed the weather this weekend as well with a scenic ocean drive, beach walk, and some comforting eats. Chilling is on the agenda for today.
Nice photos!
Hosting a cookout today by the pool for a bunch of friends-can’t wait.
I was just in VA over the weekend!! It was *perfect* weather! Alabama’s so hot compared to there.
Autumn is beautiful! I ran a marathon over the weekend, can’t bare to go down another flight of stairs, ouch, the pain!
You just made me realize that I absolutely need to get married in the fall and that my entire menu is going to be based around pumpkin. Seriously.
These are such gorgeous pictures! I’m glad you had a fun Saturday with friends!
