Woke up this morning ready to embrace the day!
It does help that it’s Saturday, the start of the weekend, and the first full Saturday of college football :)
Nick and I are working on stuff around the house this morning before heading to his parents’ for the weekend, but breakfast was the first priority.
There were 3 blueberry pancakes leftover, so Nick heated those up in the oven while I worked on my oatmeal. We needed to finish off the last of the peaches in the house, so my bowl was full of banana, peaches, and almond butter.
- 1/2 cup oats
- 1 cup water
- pinch salt
- cinnamon
- 1/2 banana, sliced
- 1 peach, diced
- 1-2 Tbsp almond butter
I’ve got coffee and am ready to go!
On the list for today:
- Label jam jars – done!
- Mow lawn (Nick is doing that right now)
- Shower – soon
- Pack – started
- Pick up tomatoes from market – on our way out of town
- Road trip to Nick’s parents’ house
- Start the weekend!!!
Do you have any fun plans this weekend?

My parents are on their way to visit me as we speak..so that’ll be my weekend plans! :) Plus there’s the first home game going on here (at Auburn) so that’s pretty exciting!
Have fun at Nick’s parent’s house!
i hope you guys have fun!
Enjoy the road trip! I’ll be making the most of having no plans :)
Already been to the farmers’ market and on my way out the door to the hmong international market. I also see beer and bike rides in my future. Yay.
As I type this, Andy and I are watching the Florida/Miami (OH) game. Andy had to explain to me that Miami is not actually Miami and now I am confused. Trying to figure out this college football thing! haha.
