Dinner was awesome! One of my best creations ever, I think.
Nick and I picked the last batch of peas from our garden this weekend, and I wanted to try something new.
The result?
Pea & Parsley Pesto.
Recipe coming soon :) It’s so creamy!
This ham was a new item, too.
I found this Niman Ranch Ham Steak at one of our local health food stores, Annie Kay’s, and had put it in the freezer a month or so ago.
…your purchase of this product directly supports independent family farmers, sustainable farming and humane animal husbandry.
Can’t get any better than that!
It was also some of the best ham I’ve ever had. Just enough smoke and perfectly salty.
I diced it up and crisped it in a skillet to serve over our pasta.
Along with some steamed veggies, it was a great Tuesday night meal. Quick, easy, and I got to use 3 things we’re growing at our house: peas, parsley, and basil.
Plus humane ham + whole wheat pasta. Delish!
Nick and I just got back from a mile long walk with Maggie and our little neighbor, Eric. It’s muggy – like sticky, sweaty thick air out there. I’m glad we got a little activity, but I would definitely rather be outside in the morning.
We need some rain – and soon!
I’ve got a cool breakfast working in the fridge, just waiting for me to eat in the morning…

Whenever I ate peas I would always smoosh them up. I absolutely loved them just for that reason. Your creation’s much much more creative, though, no doubt! Looks delicious! :)
Call me crazy, but I’m not a big fan of peas. Maybe I’ll have to give them another chance….. :)

I almost bought their bacon this weekend. I love buying meat from good practising companies
I love fresh peas so much, jealous you have them in your garden!
That meal looks baller! And colorful, but mostly baller.
Can’t wait for the recipe–I love ham, especially on pizza paired with pineapple! Happy hump day!
Feta + balsamic is so so so good, I can attest to that. I also looooove ham, so this post filled me with inspiration all over!
I love green foods so this looks great. I’ll have to sub out the ham but I miss the saltiness of cured ham. Such fun.
