10 Things I Did This Weekend

1. Ate a patriotic breakfast Sunday morning.

2. Ate a lot of salads.

3. Went swimming in a creek with Nick, Maggie, and our neighbors and got some sun on my shoulders.

4. Didn’t take a shower on Monday until 7:30 pm. We were too busy swimming, cleaning, and napping!

5. Baked a new cookie bar.

6. Found some of the best olives I’ve ever had.

7. Cooked chickpeas from scratch.

8. Picked and shelled our last batch of peas from the garden.

9. Had s’mores with our neighbors Saturday night before dinner. S’mores as an appetizer? Yum.

10. Had to throw away my yogurt trial – it didn’t work this time! I tried using some greek yogurt since that’s what I had in the house, but I think I need to use regular plain yogurt.

  3. I’ve been craving smores!! I used to make them over the stove top when too impatient to build a fire. :P

  6. Great weekend! This weekend I installed a dishwasher! Yoohoo! Goodbye hand-washing! I also made several new and unusual recipes.

  8. Sounds like a PERFECT weekend! I also had a patriotic breakfast on Sunday (yogurt with strawberries and blueberries), and I went back to San Francisco for the weekend! We hiked, enjoyed live music, and had a cookout. So glad you enjoyed the long holiday weekend! :)

    2. Had a BBQ at my house on Saturday where I ate way too much food.
    3. Dinner at Stir Crazy Sunday night.
    4. Slept in until 10:30 Monday morning – nice!

  22. What an awesome weekend! That sounds pretty perfect to me :)
    I hitchhiked about six hours (back and forth) both friday and saturday each day, I begged a random African man to take me somewhere to buy eggs to make french toast, I ate real chips and salsa, I celebrated the 4th with doing totally non-American things. :)
