Friday Fun

The day after your birthday is never as much fun ;)

No presents. No candles.

But I did make an awesome breakfast!

I just had to use the HealthMaster.

I also got some samples from Amazing Grass – perfect timing!

I made a smooth smoothie!!! No lumps of banana leftover, no ice chunks.

  • almond milk
  • Amazing Grass Amazing Meal – Original
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1 Tbsp almond butter
  • ice

This blender is awesome. I never thought I’d have a completely smooth smoothie! Dreams do come true.

  1. Absolute favorite is chocolate coconut protein powder, frozen banana, peanut butter, skim milk, vanilla extract, and some coconut! DELISH.

  2. Try a vanilla chobani with 1/2 cup frozen peaches and 1/4 cup carrot juice. Holy yum

  3. i like strawberry and pineapple green monsters!

  4. Vanilla protein powder, water/skim milk, splash of OJ, frozen mango and strawberries. Mmmmm!

  5. Banana, frozen blueberries, almond milk, chocolate Amazing Grass, coconut oil and peanut butter if I’m feelin’ crazy!

  6. I always have protein smoothies in the afternoon. My favorite so fars been PB & chocolate made with milk, cottage cheese (reallllyy smoothes it out), a banana, chocolate protein powder, and PB2 or a Tbs PB. Drizzled with chocolate, sauce..of course!

  7. Favorite smoothies:
spinach, almond milk, vanilla greek yogurt, frozen banana, frozen pineapple and fresh strawberries. YUM.

  8. I hope your birthday was everything you wanted! I typically run in the afternoons, and my post-workout dinner yesterday was: frozen banana, frozen cantaloupe, a few frozen blueberries blended with 1/2 cup soy milk and 1/2 cup 0% Greek yogurt and two handfuls spinach. Delicious! Enjoy your new blender!

  9. What a refreshing breakfast! Did I miss your birthday? Happy belated birthday!

  10. This melon banana smoothie is one of my absolute favorites (http://pink-apron.com/2009/06/melon-banana-smoothie/). I know melon seems like an unusual smoothie ingredient, but I absolutely love it. I had a version at my gym in Boston and it was soooo good it became an instant fave.

  11. banana is always a must in a smoothie!
I like putting in some spinach too.
But the best one is: banana, milk, coconut, peanut butter. Amazing.
I also like putting some avocado in my smoothies, makes them really creamy.

  12. I made a smoothie today with frozen watermelon chunks and lemonade, oh my gosh was it amazing!!!

  13. I’ve gotta get a good blender to replace my poor, sad semi-broken one. I LOVE a banana/PB/wheat germ/spinach/ chocolate chip combo…the chips don’t blend in completely, so it’s almost like a choc. chip dessert :) So amazing!

  14. i make this smoothie almost every day: 1 c. milk, 1/2 frozen banana, 100g frozen fruit (love strawberries & raspberries!), 1 scoop protein, and a big handful of spinach. yum! sometimes i’ll add a nut butter, chia seeds, or flax. love my smoothies!

  15. i need a new blender!
i am not a smoothie queen by any means – i always just do protein powder, a frozen naner, and whatever frozen fruit’s in my freezer. i also had flax and a handful of spinach.
