2 Jobs, 2 Days

This weekend is going by so quickly!

I don’t have many photos, as both days have been a bit crazy, but it’s been great.

Yesterday, I went with Bob to work and got to see what it’s like to be a vet for a large company. It was really interesting and a full day of work by the time we got home.

We had a fabulous dinner last night at The Chop House, one of Nick’s parent’s favorites here. I’m so sad I didn’t take my camera with me – I just totally forgot it at the house, and I missed some amazing pictures. The food was incredible.  And, since Bob knows everyone, I ended up meeting their Pastry Chef and went into the kitchen this morning for a few hours!!!

I’m fairly sure I’m working in the wrong field. I loved it! I was able to help make chocolate cups for mousse, line molds with berries for the lemon mousse, roll and shape their burger buns, temper chocolate…it was awesome.

I just got back to the house, Nick is on his way back, and we’ll be heading home sometime this afternoon.

I’m sad it’s almost time to get back on the road!

See you again from home :)

  1. Oh my gosh that’s awesome!! I’ve always wanted to go behind the scenes at a pastry shop. That’s serious artwork right there. And it’s all edible, too! I bet there’s a lot of hard work with it but overall that has got to be an incredible job.

  2. Sounds like you are having a great time! Thanks for the recap even without pictures.
