You know what time it is…
I couldn’t WAIT to eat my breakfast this morning :)
I was so excited about this jar that I checked it a few times yesterday, just to make sure it was at the right level. Not kidding.
For most of my oats-in-a-jar breakfasts, I try to keep my oatmeal simple – I just want to taste all that melty peanut butter in every bite!
The best jars to make this in are ones that still have streaks of pb all down the sides of the jar, because you get a little flavor in every spoonful.
- 1/2 cup oatmeal
- 1 cup water
- pinch salt
- 1/2 banana, sliced
After I cook the oatmeal in the microwave, I let it cool for a minute and then load it into the jar.
Grab a spoon and dig in :)
This and some coffee with my new coconut milk creamer? Friday is off to a great start!
What’s your favorite chocolate-covered fruit?
Strawberries? Bananas? Dried fruit?
I love chocolate-dipped strawberries, but I think I need to try bananas again. I just have memories of these frozen chocolate-dipped bananas that my Aunt Rose had one summer at her house, and I did not like them. I’m not sure what it was, but they tasted so strange. Maybe I should try making my own?
