Yogurt Love

I figured since I’m a finalist in a contest put on by Stonyfield, I should at least eat and share my favorite ways to use their yogurt, so today is day #1.

I still have a ton of yogurt in the fridge so this will also be a great way to make sure I use it all. Plus, after a fun talk with a friend yesterday, all I could think about was a big bowl of yogurt!

Today’s dish?

It’s a little hot. A little cold. A little reminder of Janetha (who is a total sweetheart AND a genius for coming up with this idea).

Yoatgurt!

The oatmeal is a very basic mix:

  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1 cup water
  • pinch salt
  • cinnamon

No fruit in the oatmeal because I wanted it on top!

Oatmeal, Oikos, Banana, Almond butter. One of my favorite combinations.

You can mix it together or keep the sides separate and enjoy hot bites and cold ones. Meals like this are fun to eat :)

What’s your favorite way to have yogurt with breakfast?

  1. I love yoats!
I also like fruit and yogurt bowls for breakfast, specially with melon and peaches. yum!

  2. I pretty much stick to the basics with yogurt mix ins…cereal (puffins, kashi, bran), berries, banana, flax, and thats about it!

  3. I cannot hop on the yoatgurt wagon! I need my yogurt on the side with some fruitiness to it

  4. OIKOS yogurt with honey and granola :-D

  5. I love yogurt with some almond butter, pumpkin butter, and some cheerios mixed in.

  6. Your yoatgurt looks delicious! Less creative: I love mixing plain, nonfat yogurt with a bit of Amazing Meal protein powder and unsweetened cocoa powder, and then adding it to chopped fruit (apples, bananas, strawberries) with some gluten-free cereal on top. More creative: I also use the yogurt-protein powder-cocoa powder mix as a “syrup” when I make gluten-free pancakes!

  7. Yoatgurt is soo yummy! I also really like adding Greek yogurt to my overnight oats.

  8. Yoats is the way to go all the way!!!! I’ve been eating so much of that stuff!! best combo by far. Just to switch things up and make it look different I’ve been topping my oats with the yogurt instead of putting them side by side. yum yum yum yum yum!
I’ve also been adding it to my smoothies to thicken them up and give them more staying power!!!!
