Sunday Funday

Nick and I went running at 6:30 this morning.

Say what?

I know – I hardly believe it myself.

If I wasn’t about to leave for church, I’d think I was lying.

But go us! We really want to get into a schedule that works for us, and that’s proving hard to figure out with Maggie. We don’t want to leave her again once we get home from work so running in the morning seems to be the best option.

I actually like running in the morning better than later in the day – it just means that we need to make sure we can get up in time to go on the weekends and a few days during the week.

I’m a cooking machine this weekend! Lots of fun recipes coming soon :) Including some super dark + rich cream cheese brownies.

I’ve got a little time left to cuddle with Maggie before heading to church, and I still need to drink my coffee.

Enjoy your Sunday!

PS: Allison (aka GDW) is running a marathon today!!!

PPS: Jenna Wolf on the Today Show is showcasing a story on my neck-of-the-woods today! So excited to see it. I think she drove / rode a bike on the Blue Ridge Parkway (which is beautiful) and she might have gone to Mountain Lake? That’s where the majority of Dirty Dancing was filmed, and it’s just 10 minutes from us.

In America I couldn’t imagine waking up before 8, but now I wake up at 530 every day to work out. Not very impressive seeing as I go to sleep at 9pm… but i LOVE the early start. I hope I can keep that up in the States, although maybe not quite so early :)

My latest post is about your nutella banana bread! it came out great! even though I didn’t have a lot of the ingredients…

  15. 6:30am? That’s hardcore. But good for you, because as the weather gets hotter, you’ll be glad you got yourself into a groove of running early in the morning, before the sun gets so intense.
