Kitchen Helper

What. a. day.

After our biscuit-filled breakfast, I worked at home until I had to go pick Maggie up from the vet’s office and then headed into town for a work lunch before heading back home to work for the afternoon.

Thankfully, even with the gray and rainy weather, it’s been a good day.

And Maggie’s home again!!!

Such a little lady :)

And she was my helper in the kitchen tonight when she wasn’t spending time at Nick’s feet.

I think I made my best stroganoff ever.

The secret in this recipe? Greek yogurt instead of sour cream and just a teaspoon of dijon mustard – it makes such a difference!

The other most important thing is to not overcrowd the pan when cooking your mushrooms. If you put too many in at one time, they’ll never brown! Add a touch of oil or butter and just put one layer in the pan at a time. It only takes a few minutes but it makes a huge difference.

I’m working on my Behind the Blog questions, so if you emailed me, they’re coming soon!

Getting close to time for LOST….I better go get in some good cuddle time with Maggie before the show starts.

  1. Maggie wants to be sure you never leave her again. Ours our super clingy when we pick them up from the kennel.

Can’t wait to see what happens tonight on LOST!

  2. Maggie is so photogenic, it kills me! Dinner looks great as well lady!
