Bowl of Berries

Glad to hear that so many of you love the White Chocolate Wonderful pb! I feel a bit better knowing that I’m not the only one that can’t keep my spoon out of the jar ;)

I had more this morning! One day closer to Oats-in-a-Jar!

I bought 2 packages of strawberries for this week and we’ve kind of forgotten about them so I wanted to use a bunch in my oatmeal this morning.

I don’t know if I’ve ever done strawberries IN my oatmeal like this,  but it was delicious!

  • 1/2 cup oatmeal, 1 cup water, pinch salt
  • cinnamon
  • 1/2 – 3/4 cup chopped strawberries
  • 1 Tbsp White Chocolate Wonderful
  • about 1 Tbsp dark chocolate chips

And nothing goes better with strawberries than chocolate…so I had to add the white chocolate pb AND some dark chocolate chips.

Probably not the best breakfast to have before going to the dentist, though – I guess we’ll see how it goes! Nick and I both have appointments during our lunch break today. Fun, right?

Fun Fact:

My mom worked at a dentist office for 17 years and I somehow always had cavities :\

Too much candy, I guess. But a sweet tooth runs in my family, so it’s not my fault!

  1. I’ve eaten sugar all through my life and have had just 1 or 2 cavities. I wonder if it’s one of those things we can blame on genetics?
I had white chocolate wonderful oats in a jar this morning and couldn’t help but think of your new addiction ;-)

  2. Ha ha… isn’t life ironic like that? My dad was a math teacher for 30 years. And math is by far my worst subject… Lame!

  3. I was so proud of the fact that I always had less cavities than my brother. I had a wicked sweet tooth.

  4. Never had cavaties until I hit the age of 25.
I agree with Evan, its genetics!

    Mmm…Chocolate and strawberries

  5. I know this is a new post but congrats on your new gig! So exciting – you should ALWAYS follow your dreams and take leaps of faith in my opinion! Really pleased for you!

  6. I’m with evan! I have the biggest sweet tooth EVER and I’ve never had a cavity!

  7. Congrats on the new gig! I’m sure you are going to love it!

  8. I have tons of cavities too…I blame it on “weak teeth” :-) Those strawberries are so pretty in the oatmeal!

  9. Hi Brandi,

If you like white chocolate wonderful an easy way to re-create it is take a bag or part of a bag of peanuts from Trader Joe’s (oil roasted with 50% less sodium is great) or the oil roasted ones from the bins at Whole Foods and put in a food processor (I have a super old and simple small one that works great, you might even be able to do it in a blender) and add a few tablespoons of white chocolate chips (I love the Nestle brand flavor) and process until a consistency that you like, doesn’t take too long, but the results are amazing, no added anything really except what you get from the white chocolate chips and you don’t need to add much). I just made some again this afternoon…amazing!!!

  10. I love strawberries in my oatmeal! I like my berries to cook down a bit. I love strawberries with pb too – that would be my jelly of choice for a pb&j.
