Food Revolution

I am so excited to watch Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution series!

I just can’t wait to see what is going to happen after this – I know he’s done a lot of work and has helped make some amazing changes in his home country, and I’m so excited that he is bringing his passion to the U.S.

Since this generation of kids is the first one to ever be expected to die before their parents, this is something that needs to be addressed.

From his website:

I believe that every child in America has the right to fresh, nutritious school meals, and that every family deserves real, honest, wholesome food. Too many people are being affected by what they eat. It’s time for a national revolution. America needs to stand up for better food!

It starts tonight at 9 pm (Eastern) on ABC.

Are you ready for a Food Revolution? Will you be watching?

  1. Definitely! I watched the preview on Sunday and it was awesome :-)

  2. I won’t be watching but I will be dvr’ing :D

  3. im looking forward to watching!

  4. I’ve got to watch the basketball games, but you can be sure that I’ll be DVR-ing this one. I watched the “sneak peek” last weekend and am so interested in the show as a whole!

  5. I watched the preview last Sunday while I was in Baltimore and I loved it. Love his accent. Love what he’s doing. Love everything.

  6. I CANNOT wait for this show. That’s going to be me when Gigi starts public school next year :)

    • I think that’s a good goal to have :) Plus, if that means you’ll have an accent – even better!

  7. I will definitely be watching!! Thanks for sharing!

  8. I will so be watching!

  9. Heck ya I’ll be watching!!! I’m really excited for this show – I hope it is an eye opener to the rest of America’s growing obesity problem.

Sadly, I did read an article about the show’s chosen city and they didn’t great him with open arms by any mean. They have a ‘don’t tell us what to eat’ kind of attitude… probably why they need the help.

  10. I am so excited to watch! Did you catch the sneak preview earlier in the week? Sadly I will be on a plane for the episode tonight, but I am DVRing it! I can’t wait for discussions!

  11. I will be watching this FOR SURE!!!!!! I watched his acceptance speech and was in awe. I love him!

  12. I think I am going to miss it! That makes me sad. Hope you enjoy it, Jamie is so great.

  13. I watched the sneak preview last week. I’m going to keep watching it. I am all for feeding kids healthier food.

  14. I watched on Sunday and will be watching again tonight. I love Jaime Oliver!

  15. Its on in Boston right now. . . its kind of intense and stressing me out a little! I can’t believe how the people in the school don’t seem to care or even KNOW that the food is HORRIBLE for the kids. Yuck. . . I will look forward to watching more!

  16. This show really frustrated me! I couldn’t believe how ignorant some of those people are. Makes me want to ‘clean’ up my food even more!

  17. This sounds like a great show!

  18. so awesome. i teach first grade and its disgusting what my kids eat for lunch everyday: hot dogs, processed and prepackaged lunches, sugar snacks, pudding. hello? where is real food? the food they bring to school does not look like it’s original form in any way shape or form. their bodies are living and need real food and instead their putting absolute junk in their bodies. it disgusts me. this sounds like my type of show.
