Sunny Day

Happy Saturday!!!

We’re about to leave the house again, so I better hurry ;)

We got up this morning and made an easy breakfast using the last of our eggs, some bacon, and some clementines.

I ended up scraping up the rest of my eggs with a piece of toast, too. I can’t let it go to waste!

Nick also made us some Kona coffee, but I couldn’t drink it. I took one sip and felt sick again…so I guess coffee is off limits until I’m totally better! My stomach has been feeling weird again today (mostly right after I eat), so I’m taking it easy with food again.

After we ate, I ran out to get my haircut and get groceries.

And I stopped by the farmer’s market! It was busy today – there was even a photo area where you could get pictures with a bunny ;) A bunch of little kids were doing that while their parents shopped.

I got some apples, sweet potatoes, broccoli, a HUGE molasses cookie to split with Nick, and a sweet cinnamon roll for him.

Grocery shopping was actually nice today. Even though I was in the store around 11, it wasn’t very crowded. I got all my stuff (under budget, too!) and headed home to eat a quick lunch.

I just made myself one of my favorite sandwich combinations:

  • peanut butter
  • spinach
  • carrots
  • strawberries

This is the only way I’ll eat raw carrots – in really thin strips.

I love this combo! It sounds weird, but the only things you can taste are the berries + peanut butter.

I’m feeling kind of sick again, so I’m going to have a few saltines before we leave the house.

Nick and I are taking Maggie out to a park again! It’s beautiful outside, so I’m sure we’ll be there for most of the afternoon.

Time to change clothes and hit the road!

We have a fun thing to do tonight when we get back :)

I can’t wait until I can get a good price on strawberries again. I loved that sandwich when I had it last summer.

That sandwich combo sounds fantastic! I love almond butter and fruit. It’s odd how good that mixture is!

Coffee is really harsh on my stomach right now too. I really just can’t stomach it at this point after being in the hospital with Colitis, caffeine is just not doing the tummy good. Hopefully, someday I’ll get my morning joe back.

Keep well babe and have an awesome Saturday!

That sandwich actually sounds really good!!! I’m not a huge carrot fan either (i’ll eat the baby carrots that are SUPER sweet) so that’s a sneaky way to get some carrot action in :)
    Glad you are feeling better!
