The Rain in Spain…

Well, it’s definitely winter here.

We checked the weather at home this morning, and we’re getting more snow today, too! A gym at a local high school collapsed on Saturday, but no one was injured, thank goodness.

We woke up to snow in Sequellamos and just got back from lunch. The snow has changed to rain, but it’s very cold and we are all back in the apartment now until the “siesta” time is over and the shops open back up.

Today is pretty much a “rest” day  – lunch out, siesta, coffee/drinks out and some shopping, then back to the apartment to go to bed early. Our train leaves here at 7 am, so we have to leave the apartment around 6:30 tomorrow morning to get to the station.

We’re all back in pajama pants since our jeans are wet from the walk back to their flat.

Even with winter hitting hard here, everything is beautiful. Life is simpler here – it will be very hard to come back home and go to work for 8 hours a day in front of a computer.

I may save all my pictures for when we get back – it just takes so much longer to upload the photos here, and tonight will be an early bedtime so we can all get up in time to catch the train.

Tomorrow, we are heading for Valencia and I’m planning on finally having some Paella!

I’m excited to see the coast and to touch the Mediterranean.

Nap time!
