Work Routine + Blogger Sighting

It’s so strange to be back at work today!

My email was crazy and took me forever to get through, but at least the office is quiet. It’s just me and one other guy in here today – I’m glad at lease one other person was here because I get kinda creeped out when I’m the only person in the office.

With all the emails waiting for me, work went by pretty quickly this morning and I was more than ready for lunch when Nick came over.

I didn’t want to leave any food in the fridge this weekend, so Nick and I both had some of the leftover tuna casserole for lunch today.

I also had the last of the broccoli from last night.

After we ate, we ran some errands around town. And I found a fun thing in my newest Fitness Magazine!

It’s MizFit!!! It’s so fun seeing people you “know” in magazines  :)

Have you or someone you know ever been in a magazine or on tv?

  1. I knew a model once, in a magazine. That was it, though.

    Lovely tuna leftovers!

  2. Only sharing this because you like football so much otherwise, I never tell people that I know/grew up with Brian Urlacher who plays for the Chicago Bears. It’s strange seeing him on tv or hearing his name. His mom actually used to be a checker at the local grocery store and our moms were good friends. A few years ago, Campbells did a commercial with players and their moms. Brian and Lavoyda were both one of the commercials…so fun to see them both on tv.

I’m trying that Tuna casserole recipe. Love bowtie pasta!

  3. I’ve seen people I knew on the news, but that’s not nearly as exciting.

  4. :) being alone in an office does sound creepy- I am glad you were not alone.

I have seen tennis players I know on TV and in a zine- it is super cool!

  5. Mmm that tuna casserole looks delicious. I’m so scared to face the emails when I get back to work but glad you got through it!

  6. This guy I went to grad school with at Syracuse is the VJ for VH1’s weekly Top 20 video countdown. I lost touch with him several years ago, but it’s always funny to be flipping through the channels and see his face. I’ll always remember him as “Bus Stop Guy” from one of my first (and terrible) grad school video projects! LOL.

  7. I don’t know him personally but Kobe Bryant went to the rival HS near me so when he started getting major press I “knew” him.

  8. funny!

Once on the news they showed someone’s ugly brown boots and I said “Mom, those look like your ugly brown boots.” They panned out and there was my mom! It was HER ugly brown boots. The taping was done when her union decided to strike so out there she was and ended up on the evening news….striking. How nice.

  9. I have a friend who was in Glamour recently for being a powerful college woman or something like that. It was pretty cool!

  10. Some figure skaters at my rink were in a magazine a couple times. That was cool!

  11. Girl, you are the broccoli queen! My oldest son is a model so has been in several magazines; even on the cover of one in France. He has worked in several countries and was used for some foreign products, like haircolor + shampoo. Was also in a few catalogs modeling shirts + jeans. Sometimes they cut off his head + just show the clothes, which is funny cause I can usually still pick him out.

  12. I’ve been on TV before and the newspaper, but never in a magazine! That’s so awesome! And your lunch looks fabby :-)

  13. leftovers rule! and yay for mizfit…i browsed through the new fitness but totally missed that! awesome!

  14. Mr. Deeds (with Adam Sandler.. so in love) was actually filmed in my town. If you’ve seen it but the “pizza restaurant” in the movie (whcih is actually a really sweet french bistro) is in my town .. so a lot of the extras in those scenes are actually people I know. It’s so cool to watch!

  15. We went to Senator Kennedy’s funeral this past summer and were on C Span with the camera on us for about 5 minutes. Awkward.

  16. haha so fun! I love that bloggers I “know” are popping up in magazines and on fitness websites!
