Agenda for today:
– Play and constantly use the bathroom for 2 hours
– Take a walk outside to the mailbox
– Eat lunch and treats as fast as you can
– Snuggle
Maggie was out this morning! I snuggled with her for an hour, but she slept in this spot for about 2-3 hours this morning.
I guess all those trips outside tired her out :)
We’ve eaten lunch, gone to the bathroom outside a few times, and I walked her down to the mailbox since she’s learning to be on a lead.
She did okay, but the dogs in a neighbor’s fenced-in yard freaked her out a bit. They bark all the time, so I don’t blame her.
Right before our short walk, I fed her lunch in her kennel and made me a quick + comforting meal.
I had some Campbell’s boxed veggie soup that I won in a contest, so I heated up a box (which is 2 1-cup servings) along with about 1/2 cup of the leftover soup from last night’s dinner.
The soup was pretty good! It was a blended veggie soup, as compared to the normal chunky veggie soups, so that was a nice change.
I added some crushed red pepper + garlic + salt on the top and had the soup along with a grilled provolone sandwich on Nature’s Pride whole wheat.
Grilled cheese using olive oil on the bread + in the pan = awesome. I just used my Misto to spray the pan and the bread a little instead of getting out the butter. I love the flavor of the oil on the bread, and it still gets crispy!
And I had to have a little dessert.
- 2 pieces of my Mammaw’s homemade fudge
- 2 chocolate covered pretzels that we made
- a VT chocolate that my sister made us for Christmas :)
My head is feeling a little better – the headache isn’t completely gone, but at least my head isn’t throbbing like it was this morning.
Favorite soup + sandwich combo? Or type of fudge?

Any type of fudge will do. :-) As for soup and sandwiches, gotta go with the classic grilled cheese and tomato soup. So warm and comforting!
Maggie is so snuggly! I want to wrap up in my snuggie and snuggle with her!
Ok that was excessive use of the word snug and it’s various forms.
cant go wrong with a grilled cheese and tomato! i love how tuckered out puppies get. so cute.
Glad your head is feeling better! Fudge is my weakness. There is toffee topped fudge still at the office that I’m having a hard time avoiding!
I like grilled cheese and black bean soup :)
I love tomato soup and grilled cheese — so unoriginal, but yummy nonetheless!
I love the fact that “snuggie-ing made it on your list of things to do today. You’re a riot, girl!
Have I told you how wonderful that little ray of sunshine is?!?!! Soooo cute!
Favorite soup & sammy – hands down grilled cheese and tomato – but gourmet versions of both are the best!
I’m not much of a soup person but I <3 pb banana sandwiches

OMG she is absolutely adorable! :) I don’t know if I ever commented on your new little love yet. :)
Hope you are having tons of fun with her. I know it can be stressful but hang in there because they are worth every little accident, cry and ounce of mischief. :) The love that they offer outweighs this all.
Hope you feel better soon hun. (I just read about the migraines from this morning). Hope you got some rest today. :)
Aw Maggie :)
Glad your head is feeling better, I’m so sorry about the migraine!
I think Amy’s Chunky Tomato Bisque paired with a grilled provolone (yay) sandwich is a great combo. But I also love veggie soups too, so it’s a tie.
Maggie is too cute…I want a puppy!!
Hope you feel better!
I love minestrone soup with a veggie pannini!
Maggie is sooo cute and she definatly looks cuddly :)
I am not really big on fudge but chocolate covered pretzels sound good, I like the salty sweet combo.
OMG! That is one of the cutest puppy pictures I have seen yet. Those paws! I am not even suppose to say that, I am a “cat lady!”
