Chinese a No-No

Ugh, I hate my stomach sometimes!

It just decides to be weird and not fun, and I don’t know why.

And yes, I am pouting…on the couch…in my pajamas…on a Friday night.

It’s also freezing cold here and it’s supposed to snow tonight/tomorrow. There – I think I got all my complaining out right now  :)

This afternoon was pretty good at work – busy, but good.

Depending on the weather tomorrow morning, I’m supposed to be going to a ladies brunch for church, so Nick and I did the grocery shopping after work today so I wouldn’t have to do it tomorrow.

Since we were out anyways, we decided to go that new Chinese buffet place again.

Good idea in theory…but my stomach is not happy with me now.

I had a few tiny steamed Shu Mai, a couple dumplings and lots of green beans.

Then more green beans, some broccoli/carrots, and some super spicy pepper chicken. Oh, and green tea + water.

Everything tasted good, but as soon as we left here and started walking through the grocery store, my stomach started doing its weird gurgling stuff and now I just feel blah.

At least the groceries are done, though! I’m happy about that, and I have everything I need to make my stuff for the brunch tomorrow.

It’s going to be an early morning with some fun baking  :)

  1. I was craving general tsao’s chicken tonight, but all they had at Whole Foods was greasy sesame fried tofu, so I went with it anyway and did not feel particular good afterwards

  2. Chinese food bother my stomach a lot too. Sometimes it’s just too greasy. Hope you’re feeling better soon!

Friday nights at home, on the couch, in your pj’s is always fun though.

  8. Ugh sounds like we had similar friday nights… blogging in our pjs and stomach aches from the food we ate :(

Hopefully tomorrow night will be better!

  9. My stomach has been off for the last few days so I feel your pain. Sorry it has not been a good night.

Can’t wait to read about your brunch tomorrow though :-)

  10. Chinese buffets make me nervous. I never feel good after I eat at them.

  11. For some reason Chinese never agrees with me–but I’m not a huge fan anyway, so I suppose it’s not too big of a loss! Can’t wait to see what your baking up!

  12. Oh my goodness, I feel your pain – my tummy is pretty sensitive too. Like, my favorite thing in the whole world is curried veggies, and I eat a ton of veggies because I’m a vegetarian…yet my tummy sometimes can’t handle it! :-X

  13. Sorry your stomach didn’t like the Chinese food… I hope the rest of your evening was okay!

    Have a great weekend! :)
