Time Warp

Isn’t it strange when you’re traveling and, all of a sudden, it’s 3 hours later? It made me tired when it jumped from 3:30 San Francisco time to 6:30 Charlotte time when we landed.

Thankfully, we’re home now…kind of unpacked…and watching some Iron Chef to unwind before heading to bed.

Nick and I ended up buying a few things to share for lunch on the plane from SF –> Charlotte.

We split this chicken garden salad – yay for veggies!

And this pasta salad with olives, tomatoes, and feta. These weren’t the best salads I’ve ever had, but they were pretty good. And it was nice to have an option other than a greasy sandwich or fast food.

And then we opened some Cherry Chocolate chip cookies from Frog Hollow Farm.

Nick had 3, and I had 2, along with my Coke Zero with my lunch.

Yum – they are onto something  :)  These were the perfect sweet ending to lunch, and you can’t beat the ingredient list on the package. I love the mix of cherries + chocolate and they were so crisp and buttery.

Once we landed in Charlotte, we only had about 20 minutes before our next flight starting boarding, so we both just ate an Odwalla bar while waiting in line and had a few pieces of dried fruit on the plane.

Our flight back into Roanoke actually got in early, so we got home a little before 10 pm, which was nice. I’m mostly unpacked, but still have to figure out where to put all this loot I brought back!

I guess I’m having my “second dinner” – pb puffins with almond milk (the only thing we have in the house), on the couch, in my pajamas.

I can’t believe this weekend is over already. Everything happened so fast!

I’m going to try to go through all the pictures tomorrow and hopefully have up a recap of yesterday soon.

Can tomorrow be Sunday again instead of Monday?

  7. You should’ve hung out in Charlotte longer than 20 minutes… :(

  8. I remember those jet lag kind of hours when we came back from colorado. My body never fully adjusted to CO time but it was strange to be back in “my” timezone.

Glad you had a great time.

  9. I wish it was Sunday again too! Mondays are wayy too busy. I’m glad you had such a fun trip! I hope I can go to one of these events someday :)

And seriously, a big bowl of cereal is sometimes the best dinner. That’s what I had last night haha.
