Good morning and happy Sunday – I still feel like today should be Monday. My days are all mixed up after taking Friday off and because my family left yesterday to go home instead of today.
Today is going to be fun! My friend Jen and I are putting on a baby shower for one of our friends from church, so I’ll be at her house all afternoon until 5 when the shower starts. I’m so glad we were able to pull this together so quickly! And there’s a fun fall menu, too:
- hot cider and pink lemonade sparklers
- pumpkin dip with apples and gingersnaps and almonds
- applesauce spice cake with cream cheese frosting
I picked up everything I needed yesterday and also have dinner planned so it will be ready for Nick when he’s hungry and be waiting for me when I get home tonight. I guess we’ll see if I want dinner at all…I may just fill up on gingersnaps and pumpkin dip ;)
I had a savory + sweet breakfast today.
Nick had to leave early to do sound, but we had time to pull together some eggs in a basket. I had 2 using the Nature’s Pride Honey Wheat Bread, with some crushed red pepper + salt on top.
I also took my rounds of bread and made a tiny pb&j sandwich – 1/2 Tbsp crunchy pb, 1 tsp Bonne Maman 4 berry jam.
The perfect sweet ending to breakfast! We also had some of our local gala apples.
And coffee! We’re quickly running out of our Honduran coffee, so I’m trying to really enjoy every cup.
I’ve got to get the crockpot out and ready before I leave the house.
One more cup of coffee, and I think I’m ready for the day.
