Down For The Count

I got completely sidelined by a bad, bad migraine today.

Please excuse the mostly picture filled post  :)  I’m planning on lots of resting tonight and not much more computer time.

I finished up all my work so I could leave at lunch – the lights in the office and looking at the computer was just making my throbbing head worse.

I ended up stopping at a new place here to pick up lunch on the way home.

I think I’m going to have to go back when I’m feeling better.

I got a “beef po’boy” with peppers, local/free range beef, and the most amazing bread.

The bread was awesome – the rest of the sandwich and salad weren’t bad, but they weren’t great. I would like to go back and try them again when my head doesn’t feel like it’s about to explode. All their meat is from THEIR farm (organic certified, free range, grass fed) and they only buy other local or organic ingredients. Pretty cool.

One thing did make my afternoon today.

My chocolate-covered winnings from our favorite Chocolate Covered Girl came today  :)

I’ve been wanting to try their bars, so I was so excited I won her contest!

I even got two of their new peanut butter flavors to tryIMG_6218 and a few Amazing Grass packets, which is good because I used all of mine!

I ended up going back into town around 4 this afternoon to take Harley to Nick’s parents. I know – no puppy in the house now! It’s so quiet!

We met them and ate dinner before they headed on to their house tonight.

They got some pizza + salad from a really good place here, Backstreet’s, but my head was still just throbbing and hurting so I ended up just having some of the salad. My appetite has just been weird today, and the headache sure isn’t helping.

I ended up having a small bowl of soup a few minutes ago, too, just to get some food in my belly.

Hit the spot.

Now if you’ll excuse me, my awesome-ly old gray velour pants are calling, and I’m answering with some quality time cuddling on the couch.
