Check, Check, Check

  • Dentist appointment – done! And no cavities.
  • Chiropractor appointment – done! And good!
  • Fun dessert-making supplies – bought. :)
  • Dinner – eaten.
  • Dishes – washed, drying.
  • Laundry – waiting to be folded.

I’m glad I didn’t eat my grapes with lunch because I really wanted to have this snack today.

I saved the 2 new Chobani flavors for last  :)  Today, I brought the Pineapple flavor plus my Kashi Free Sample box of the Honey Almond Flax GoLean Crunch.

I think this may be my new favorite yogurt.

I loved how creamy it was, and the little bits of pineapple were just perfect in it!

Look at that big slice of almond! This cereal kind of tasted like honey smacks. I liked it.

Now I just have to convince a store around here to start carrying Chobani so I can actually buy it.

We left work and headed over to the chiropractor, which went well for both of us. I really think having that car accident a few months ago just knocked everything into place for me. All my visits since then have been great.

Apparently, Nick and I are both up for phone upgrades soon so we ran over to the Verizon store to check some out. I think we both know which ones we want, but we’re going to look up some reviews first.

AND  – big news in this household – Nick and I can now text! I know…we’re so behind the times in regards to our phones. Better late than never?  :) At least we don’t have those awesome Zach Morris cell phones, right?

Before coming home, I also ran into the grocery store to pick up a few items for a dessert recipe I’m going to try to make tonight or tomorrow. It’s top secret right now, but I promise to show it off if it works out well.

Since we ended up eating out last night, dinner tonight was easy.

Leftovers, and good ones.

I heated up some leftover grilled chicken, steamed broccoli and the roasted butternut/onion mixture from the other night.

I think I could eat winter squash at every meal and be happy.

I also tried the Root Beer Zevia tonight.

IMG_6058

I love root beer and don’t have it very often, so I was excited to try this flavor.

The only thing I didn’t like?

That I didn’t have any ice cream to make it into a float tonight  :)

This root beer is good – it doesn’t taste exactly like regular root beer, but it’s definitely better than the other diet ones I’ve had.

I’m off to fold this laundry and get ready for some Top Chef + popcorn!

  2. What a great chobani flavor; I wish they’d use the 2% base for all of them because it makes it so decadent

You and me both, sista. I recommend topping it with loads of cinnamon and coconut butter :)

  14. how in the world do you get so much done?!?!

my evening looks more like: get home from work, make dinner, eat dinner, aaron does the dishes, i check e-mails, maybe do a blog or read a book for 1/2 hour and then into bed! i have no idea how you do it!

  15. welcome to the wonderful world of texting!

  16. So bummed Top Chef was a repeat! :(

    The pineapple yogurt sounds delicious.

  17. Yay for texting! Why was Top Chef a repeat? Ridiculous

  18. Mmm, winter squash. LOVE IT! It’s one of the little things that makes the cold weather bearable.

    YAY FOR TEXTING!

  19. Zevia root beer floats are AWESOME! I’ve also used whipped cream in place of the ice cream. It fizzes up like crazy and is sooooo good. Haha!

  20. OMG Brandi! I’ve been trying to figure out which childhood cereal the Kashi Honey Almond Flax reminded me of since last week! Honey Smacks!! That’s it! THANK YOU! Now I can stop racking my brain and running up and down cereal aisles trying to figure it out!!

  21. That’s my favorite kind of cereal! I have yet to try Chobani though…

  22. Yay, texting! And soon, new phones!
I’ve never tried greek yogurt.. I’ve been looking for it, but it just isn’t easy to find!

  23. OMG, the crazy part about you having text now is that I was totally going to text you LAST night but then I remembered that you can’t text. Oh well, maybe next time :D

  24. So glad your back is on the up & up–back injuries are no fun!

Can’t waaait to see the recipes you’ve got planned :-)

  25. Pineapple Chobani and Honey Almond Flax Kashi are two of my favorite things in the world. I saw a Pineapple Chobani at Whole Foods this weekend (the LAST ONE on the shelf) and snapped it up so fast I probably looked like a psycho. Ha. I agree with Evan, they should make all their flavors with a 2% base. It’s not statistically that different and just tastes so, so much better. (I don’t really enjoy any of their other flavors because of the 0% base, unfortunately. It’s too chalky for me, or something.)

  26. The pineapple chob sounds so good! They only sell chobani at the health food store here and usually only in blueberry which I don’t like.

That’s funny how getting in a car accident actually helped you instead of hurt you, but very good news!
