I have been having the strangest dreams lately! Not scary, not bad…just weird. Like people I haven’t seen in years are showing up in them.
I guess I was worn out yesterday! I fell asleep on the couch at like 9:30! I guess I needed some extra rest – or that yoga just put me out after dinner :)
That muesli I mixed up the other night needed to be eaten today. I wanted it, but I think I’m already not wanting cold breakfasts again – the mornings are a bit cooler, and it’s making me crave big bowls of oatmeal.
But if this is the way to say so long to summer? Sign me up.
The muesli base mix had:
- 1/2 cup oats
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1/2 Tbsp chia seeds from GreensPlus
- 1 Tbsp unsweetened coconut
- pinch of salt
Then this morning, I mixed in about a Tbsp of cooked oat groats, 1-2 Tbsp of plain yogurt,1 Tbsp of chopped pecans and a few raspberries.
I love the combination of the cantaloupe + raspberries.
Fall is definitely my favorite season – it is just beautiful here in the mountains with all the leaves changing and the arrival of cooler weather.
I’m ready for it, but at the same time, I feel like summer never really happened here! It never got very hot, and we didn’t have any type of normal summer vacation or trip to the beach so the cooler mornings are still surprising me.
Plus, I just can’t believe it’s already September!
I am ready for pumpkin, apples, hot chocolate, and all the winter squash, though :)
