Easy Queasy

Blech…my stomach is all topsy turvy this morning. I think pizza + reisen candy + going to bed super duper late and not sleeping well is not good for me. This was probably the latest I’ve gone to bed in a long time, and I’m feelin’ it today. Then, on top of going to bed late, I did not sleep well at all. I was awake for most of the night, tossing and turning.

I wanted something simple + easy on my tummy for breakfast.

No normal Sunday breakfast of eggs + bacon for me today.

All I wanted was a big bowl of oatmeal.

  • 1/2 cup oats, 1 cup water, pinch salt
  • cinnamon
  • flaxseed
  • sliced banana
  • 1 Tbsp crunchy classic pb

Let’s hope this + that pepto I just took does its job.

  2. Ugh sorry about your quesy feelings! That’s the worst! I was feeling that way Friday night. My meal of choice when I’m feeling that way is something super simple – toast! Maybe with mushed banana on it if my tum can stretch that far!

    as for a feel good meal. gee i’m not even sure. It probs includes something along the lines of good veggies, some good fruit, just something simple, clean and delish!

  7. salad with chicken and ranch usually makes my tummy feel happier. and sprite.
    and if my tummy is off from a few too many drinks, green smoothies are a godsend! hydration + good for me food

  8. oats is definitely my go-to feel better meal. Well, actually.. its just me go-to meal in general :) Feel better!

  9. Oh man, Reisen candy will get you every time! That stuff is way too good to be true! That crunchy nut butter looks fantastic. Hope you feel better soon!!

  10. Aw, I hope you feel better. I totally agree that the nights I go to sleep later end up making me feel blech in the morning, and oats/cereal is always my go to. Or anything else with carbs :) I think it’s time for a lazy Sunday…take it easy!!

  11. I usually have oatmeal or some toast. I don’t normally want to eat when my stomach is upset so I sip some pepto.

  12. Sorry you’re not feeling so hot. I’m not either but I think it’s because of the upsetting football last night. I just had toast and it made me feel a bit better :)

  17. Oh, bellyaches are never any fun! Bananas always seem to work some tummy magic though! Either that or some PB sandwiches w/bananas :-)
