Okay, scratch the popcorn snack last night. I had this instead:
I bought this the other day at Kroger – it was on sale AND I had a coupon!
Plus, it’s just like one of my old favorites: cinnamon toast crunch :) I had a bowl of this last night with a little milk. The perfect nighttime snack! It’s been a long time since I’ve had cereal at night.
This morning I decided to try a new breakfast.
Green smoothie, the pumped up version.
Normally when I make one, I have it for a snack so it’s never more than a bit of fruit, milk, ice and greens.
Today, though, I added some bulk to see how I liked it.
- 1/2 cup oats (my first using oats in a smoothie EVER)
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1/2 banana
- 2-3 cups kale
- 1 Tbsp peanut butter
Pretty good! I realize now that I should have added some ice or a little water because the oats made it SO thick, but I really like the flavor of the oats in the smoothie.
Nick and I also shared a peach.
We’ll see how long this smoothie holds me! I’ll be interested to see how this compares to a bowl of oatmeal or muesli or eggs.

Now, I like all of the Kashi ones I’ve tried and I love this new cinnamon one!
