Bagel Friday

by admin on August 14, 2009

These locally made bagels are soooo good!

I think I need to find a way to have one every Friday morning.

Plus, I’ve never been able to find whole wheat everything bagels, but I can now! And it just makes it better that they’re fresh and have ingredients I can pronounce.

This morning ,we were up early enough to make our bagel sandwiches.

I scrambled 3 eggs for us to share and sliced up our last 2 farmer’s market peaches  :(   while Nick worked on the bacon.

What a fun and tasty way to start off the weekend.

Happy Friday!

What’s your favorite kind of bagel and topping?

whole wheat everything?! That’s amazing! It’s my favorite kind of bagel :)

I love PB & jam or eggs & bacon on mine.

Have a great Friday!

I love that they had whole wheat everything bagels, and that it looks like they had seasonings on both sides–not just the top! As for my preference, I love a big bagel that’s a little firm on the outside, but soft and delicious on the inside so I can just eat it plain–no toasting necessary.

However, sometimes you have to toast so you can put that butter, PB or cream cheese. I prefer whole wheat/grainy varieties, but once in awhile I like a honey oat, sourdough or blueberry…

I like to use bagels as burger buns sometimes. I put a TJ’s chile lime chicken burger and some laughing cow with hummus or avocado (or both). So yummy and filling. But I like your egg sandwich too :-)

Ooooooooh Brandi that looks AMAZING!!! I’d be full for hours on that breakfast!!! :D I haven’t had a bagel in years, but I guess salmon & cream cheez would be my absolute favorite topping. Followed by the cinnamon cruncher bagel from Panera for the sweet rather than savory bagel. ;)

Mmmm, yummy looking bagel. We no longer have any place locally that makes good ones (at least that I am aware of) and I miss them. Good, fresh baked bagels reminds me of lunch after church on Sundays when I was in uni. We used to pick them up on the way home, along with some tasty cream cheese flavors, as a quick lunch when we got home. Good memories! :)

And the above comment about cinnamon crunch with hazelnut cream cheese from Panera is making me want to take another trip to my in-laws in Atlanta, as we do not have Panera in Canada!!

Yum looks delicious! I love Panera’s Asiago cheese bagel, but it’s definitely an indulgence. I wish they made it in whole wheat!
