Bran in Real Life

It was so hard to get out of bed this morning. I think I need one more day to the weekend to recover from everything we did the past couple of days! It does not help that it is gloomy, gray, and rainy this morning, either.

I was really craving eggs this morning, so that’s what I had.

One of these eggs had a double yolk! Is that good luck or something? I couldn’t get a good picture of it, though  :(

Runny eggs + oatbran is way too good.

I also had some leftover fruit –  grapes, raspberries, cherries

I’m so sad it’s already Monday – this weekend went by too fast! Both of my supervisors are back this week, though, so work should be getting back to normal over the next couple of days. I hope today isn’t too crazy in the office! I need a recovery day  :)

What did you do this weekend? Fireworks? Cookout?

  1. Ack, Mondays are never great :P Hope you have something fun to look forward to this weekend- the week will be over before you know it ;)

I didn’t do much exciting this weekend- no 4th July celebrations in Scotland :(

  2. I’ve never seen an egg with a double yolk! Let’s think of it as good luck ;-)

This weekend was full of grilling, beach walking, good wine and sunshine – just what I needed!

    Hope you had a blast!

  3. Hey girl! Hope you love the banana ice cream :)

  4. Ugh, I am so not ready to be back at work today! I feel so behind and sleepy! Hope your day goes as well as possible!

  5. This weekend FLEW by! I want it to start all over again ;) Good luck with your Monday!

  6. I hate Mondays too! Always hard to drag myself out of bed.

We watched the Boston fireworks from our parking garage — instead of trekking to the crowded esplanade. They’re always amazing, and we had a really good view. We went to cookouts at my boyfriend’s parents’ house and my parents’ house. It was quite a busy weekend!

Hope you had a good one!

  7. I haven’t recovered either!

Just went through all your posts from the weekend – Good job to Nick! Looks like you had a great 4th!

  8. Double yolks freak me out for some reason.

Hope today goes by fast for you!! We had a nice weekend!

  9. Oh Brandi. I think this is life in the summer: being exhuasted from all the summer activities. But hey, it’s worth it, don’t you think?

  10. We have 18 laying hens that gift us with an egg everyday, each! Yes, we do sell some cause no one can eat that many eggs. Double yolks are quite common, especially in young hens where the egg making assembly line isn’t quite in sinc yet.

Looks like a fun weekend; Way to Go Nick!

  11. yeah for a fabulous weekend of fun and food – your pictures are always so droolworthy. i love them! your family is totes adorable too – happy monday!

  12. I love double yolks! Too bad I didn’t have one today since I tried your oatbran/runny egg yolk breakfast this morning. It was great!

Your weekend sounds great! I visited friends in New Mexico and had the best visit ever – got to see my best friends, attend services at my old church and hang out with my old pastor and church family.

  13. I love double yolks! LUCKY!

  14. Oh Brandimuffin I couldn’t get out of bed either!! We were lazy twins this morning :) And your eggs look so good!

We went to see fireworks on Saturday night, then played a few games of pool. It was a good weekend! Let’s hope we have a good week even though it didn’t start off perfectly this morning! :)

  15. I’m sure that egg was good luck! How cool!

I had a great weekend, and can’t believe it’s Monday already either. I just caught up on your weekend posts, and it looks like yourweekend was busy and fun. The cheesecake looks amazing, and Nick is the man!
