Sweet Start

Isn’t it crazy how one week can be so different from the next?

Last week, I was getting up early to do yoga and this week….I do not want to get out of bed at all!  :)  I guess I’m resting back up after our fun weekend, but I have been lovin’ that snooze button this week.

So, no yoga this morning, but I am having a good breakfast to jump start my day.

Who says chocolate can’t be part of a balanced breakfast?

I finally used the very end of my bag of the TJs nuts over rapsberries mix – I guess I was holding out!

It’s a good thing they opened a TJs not far from my parents – I’m thinking I’ll need a trip there the next time I’m home.

This bowl had:

  • 1/2 cup oats, 1 cup water, pinch salt
  • 1/3 banana, sliced
  • handful strawberries and raspberries
  • about 2 Tbsp nuts over raspberries mix
  • 1 tsp mini chocolate chips since there was only one left in the mix!
  • cinnamon

I’m off for another busy day at work, especially this morning. I have to finalize those packets and get them mailed out first thing – I think I got most of it put together yesterday, so I should just have to check through each packet to make sure it’s complete and then get them in the mail.

Are your weeks / days basically the same schedule-wise, or do they change?

I think every week changes a little bit. For some reason this week I’m the same as you and my body wants to sleep in a little longer than usual. This whole summer I haven’t been able to sleep past 7:30 so it’s actually kind of nice for a change. Your bowl of oats looks divine. Just gave me inspiration to bust into my dried cranberry mix and add them to my oats. Not that yours have cranberries in them haha.
    Have a great Tuesday!

I think you need to use that snooze button otherwise it’s going to start to feel unloved :P

My weeks are pretty predictable at the moment- a few busy days and a couple quieter days but I know in advance what’s happening…(I try to know anyway!)

Chocolate is what gives the breakfast balance IMO!

My days are basically the same but change once the semester classes roll around. This summer I’m doing work on my own, and I’ve only met with each professor once. I like classes this way! :)

    Looove chocolate in the morning!

I’m the exact same way! Before I left for Hawaii I was getting up before six every morning and going to the gym to workout. Now I’m lucky if I get up before 7! At first I got upset about it, but I decided that if my body wants sleep I’m going to listen. I’m pretty good about working out in the afternoons so I don’t sweat it too much.

So jealous of your TJ’s access! We don’t have one anywhere close to where I live!

Hope your busy morning goes smoothly!

What a lovely bowl of oats! I love adding chocolate to my breakfasts :) I hope you have a good day! During school, my days vary depending on the classes. But the weeks are generally similar. During the summer… I guess they’re relatively similar, but with some different activity. A little variety is always good!

My days/weeks are generally the same, but I like changing it up on the weekends with new plans, new recipes, new everything!

I hear ya on the Snooze love… I haven’t been able to get up AT ALL this week! My weeks are the same, but each day varies drastically (I work two nights a week, brunch one weekend day, intern another weekday) and it is DRAINING!

Your oats look unbelievably good right now. Send some of that melty chocolate my way!

Monday – Friday are standardized but the weekend vary greatly depending if I get called into work overtime. They’ve already booked me for the 4th so I know what I’ll be doing Saturday. It’s a lot harder to eat cleanly on the weekends but I take it one meal at a time.

What a pretty breakfast!! My weeks during the school year are the same day in and day out! A little repetitive but I like knowing what’s scheduled for when.

as an actor, most weekends and weekdays kinda blur together – except on the weekends i have more people free to play with!
