Operation is a-go!

I love not having to set an alarm clock. Waking up naturally without something blaring in my ears is just so much better.

I woke up around 6:30 this morning, stayed in bed for a little while longer, and then hit the road.

I had to go for monthly weigh-in for Weight Watchers to send to my manager today, plus it was the last day for one of the ladies working there so I wanted to make sure I got to see her.

I ran to Starbucks on the way there so I could her one of her favorites – a caramel light frap, blended twice – and I got a fat free peppermint mocha for myself.

I also brought 2 hard boiled eggs and a banana with me for breakfast today. I had a lot of places to go so I wanted to make sure I had an easy but portable breakfast that would hold me over until lunch.

After I left WW, I ran over to Target and Old Navy to do a little looking and decided it would be the perfect time to start my Operation Beautiful  :)

I left this note on the mirror in the bathroom at Target:

I love this idea, Caitlin! I had so much putting this up and leaving it in there for the next person to see.

I ran over to Old Navy – they’re having some good sales right now! All the guys stuff is 1/2 off, so we’re probably going back tomorrow so Nick can look.

I got 4 of their long ribbed tanks – they’re only $2 each! But only today, so you better hurry!

I also got some really cute and comfy yoga shorts and tank top that were both half off – actually, all of their exercise stuff is 1/2 off!

I went over to our farmer’s market today and got a lot of stuff – I’m glad it’s starting to fill up with vendors. It always starts out kind of slow here, but by mid to end summer, there are tons of choices.

Today, I got:

  • kale
  • frisee
  • salad greens
  • gorgeous rainbow chard
  • peaches
  • local cheese spread with garlic + chives
  • honey whole wheat sourdough bread
  • and these:

I just couldn’t leave them there – I saw these and just wanted them in the house. They are so beautiful – I love fresh flowers, but I don’t have them in house nearly enough. They make me so happy!

After hitting up the market, I went to Kroger to get the rest of the stuff I needed for this week, then headed home.

Nick went on a bike ride this morning to test out his new tires again and he actually beat me back home! I was just having fun and taking my time shopping for clothes AND food.

We have tons of leftovers in the fridge, so I knew I needed to use some up in lunch.

I had a serving of the chicken casserole, the last of the green beans/mushroom/pea mixture and the last of the broccoli and cauliflower.

Now I’ve got a load of laundry going and I’m not sure what we’re doing this afternoon. Maybe the pool? Maybe stuff around the house? Maybe the baking I want to do?

Do you have any fun weekend plans?
