Back to Normal

Ugh, it was so hard to get up this morning when the alarm went off. I hit the snooze 4 or 5 times and actually got out of bed a bit later than I wanted – not so late that we’ll  be late for work, but late enough that I’m rushing this morning  :\  I probably get up way too early, but I would rather have a little extra time in the morning than be rushing around trying to get out of the house.

I missed my oatmeal so much! I feel like it’s been weeks since I’ve had it, but it’s really only been 4 days?


I made some pretty basic oatmeal today – I just wanted a big bowl of oats + fruit.

  • 1/2 cup oats, 1 cup water, pinch salt
  • 1/2 banana, sliced
  • chopped strawberries
  • raspberries
  • cinnamon

Since I didn’t have any nuts/nut butter in my oats, I had a hard boiled egg on the side, too.


I have a feeling I’m going to be hungry today at work. After strange/off schedule weekends, my hunger seems to kick in big time the first day I’m back to work.

  5. I haven’t had oatmeal in a while either, but maybe I’ll have it for breakfast tomorrow!
