Well, except for what I already knew about the soft tissue damage in my neck/shoulders and some swelling on my knee and collarbone, I’m all in the clear health-wise. Thank goodness!
The worst thing? i’m having horrible headaches, and my doc told me today that I may have them for the rest of the week off and on because, with impact like that, it can actually bruise the brain a little which means killer headaches. Good thing I have those pain killers – they do wonders on these headaches, but they do make me a little fuzzy. Hopefully I won’t have any big projects at work this week!
Before my appointment, I stopped and got a fat free peppermint mocha for the wait
I started the second book in that coffeehouse series this morning and love it already – I’m going to have to buy the rest of the series pretty soon.
All in all, the appoinment went well. He checked me over and nothing seemed strange or out of place and he was happy that I’d already had x-rays done on my knee and neck and that nothing was wrong there. He said I should be feeling back to normal by next week, except for maybe a headache or two so I’m happy with that.
Lunch today was easy to make and easy to pack.
I had a veggie burger on an arnold thin
along with some broccoli salad I threw together yesterday while making dinner
- sliced grapes
- ff cheddar cheese
- bacon bits (2 Tbsp in the whole dish)
- mixture of ff plain yogurt/dijon/salt/pepper
- diced red onion
and some cantaloupe/pineapple
My body isn’t too sore or stiff today, but staring at a computer is not helping my headache. I took a pain pill with lunch, hoping that this headache will go away soon – if not, I hope this afternoon flies by :)
