A Green Kind of Day

Hi everyone! I hope you’re all having a great weekend so far!

Today is gorgeous – I’m so happy we decided to go to the Farmer’s Market and the football scrimmage – we had so much fun!

We got a few things at the Farmer’s Market:

  • baby kale!
  • mixed greens
  • whole wheat sourdough bread
  • fresh cheese curds
  • apples

After we walked around the farmer’s market for a while, we put the stuff in the car and headed over to the football scrimmage. It was absolutely beautiful outside – almost hot, actually. There were a few times sitting out there that I wish I had shorts on!

I had a diet coke while we were watching them play – and we got our drinks in the first new cups of the season!

We had a lot of fun – but it made me really wish the season was starting sooner!  I can’t wait until August  :)

After watching them play for about an hour, I dropped Nick off so he could grade some papers and I went to do the rest of the grocery shopping. By the time we got home to eat lunch, it was 2:30!

I had a pretty green lunch – broccoli and asparagus topped with the last serving of the chicken/cabbage stir fry

Some edamame

We ate outside on the back porch under our umbrella. I am so glad it finally feels like Spring!

I also just ate a few malted milk eggs while blogging  :) These are all that’s left out of my Easter basket, so I’m trying to make them last.

I don’t know what the plans are for the rest of the afternoon – I may try to finish laundry soon so I have one less thing to do tomorrow. I have a fun dinner planned with a gift from Foodbuzz and I’m excited for it.

See you for dinner!
