Thank goodness, we made it safely back home :) It was actually a beautiful drive – we had great weather, and I started a new book on the way back home, which made the 5.5 hours go by much faster.
About 2 hours from my parents house, we stopped to fill up the car and get some lunch. There really isn’t anything inbetween our houses other than fast food – we don’t eat it very often, but this was the best option I had for lunch. And when the choice is eat something or don’t eat for 4 more hours? I do the best I can!
I had a 6″ subway sub with turkey/ham/roast beef on wheat with lettuce, spinach, tomato, red onion, salt, pepper, and oregano – toasted.
It was actually more filling that I thought – Subway usually doesn’t do a thing for me, but this was pretty good.
I had a small bag of pretzels on the side, plus some water I had in the car with me.
I started this book on the way home, and was reading it out loud so Nick could listen to help pass the time, too.
I am loving this book so far! The best part is their farm is actually probably close to where I live, which is awesome! I can’t wait to read some more tonight. Have you read this book yet?
I’m sipping on some chocolate milk right now
After I finish my milk + post, I’ve got to:
- finish laundry
- go pick up a few more groceries for this week
- clean up around the house a bit
- make (and eat!) dinner
- prep lunch/snacks for tomorrow
Can I get it all done?!? :)
