Sometimes You Feel Like a Knot…

This afternoon, my mom, sister, and I went shopping while the boys went motorcycle riding. I don’t think they lasted long, since it started raining ,but we had a very successful shopping trip! I bought a new bathing suit, and I’m so excited! I’ve been wanting a new one for a while, but it’s such a pain to look for them, try them on…I hope I actually get to go to the beach this summer so I can wear it!

While we were shopping, I had a fat free peppermint mocha

coffee

We got back from shopping and had about an hour until we left for dinner. I didn’t want to eat too much before we left for dinner, but I was really hungry so I had an unpictured 2% fage with honey. It was just enough to get me through until dinner.

My parents, aunt and uncle, and grandmother took us to Pungo Pizza, this little place they found one day on a motorcycle trip.

The main reason they brought us here? These.

garlic

Their garlic knots were so good – totally drenched in  butter and garlic, so it’s a good thing I don’t eat stuff like this all the time! They were warm and really doughy – and even though the garlic looks raw, it wasn’t! They were definitely garlicky, but not overwhelming.

We ordered 2 pizzas to share, one surpeme and one ham-pineapple-banana pepper

Nick and I split this salad – it was okay. I just needed some green!

Neither one of us ate the breadstick, since we had already had a garlic knot  :)

I had one slice of the supreme

pizza

and one slice of the ham-pineapple-banana pepper. I don’t know why I’ve never tried these together, but it was great! It had a good balance of spicy and sweet.

What is Saturday night dinner with family without dessert?

We ordered a small order of their cinnamon knots to try – that’s right. More butter. I felt a little like Paula Deen eating all this butter tonight!

After leaving Pungo Pizza, we went back to my grandmother’s house and played a little pool before heading home. I didn’t make one shot! I was horrible tonight. Good thing we weren’t playing for money or anything!

We’re heading back home tomorrow morning – it’s been a fun weekend, but way too short.

I hope you all have had a great weekend so far!
