Good morning! I hope your Saturday is off to a good start :) I’d say mine is: I just ate a great breakfast and now I’m drinking coffee in my pajamas! Great way to start the weekend.
I bought a loaf of sourdough bread last night that was on special, so we decided to use it in breakfast today.
We made some french toast with some of the bread slices, a couple slices of bacon, cut up strawberries, and a little dish of maple syrup for some dipping action.
I’m glad we decided to make this, because we hadn’t made french toast in a while and it was so good. I did add a little sprinkle of cinnamon to my toast after taking the picture, and that made it even better!
I didn’t want to waste the rest of the french toast batter (eggs and milk) so I scrambled that up to have with my breakfast for a little extra protein.
It was the perfect little amount!
I have no clue what we’re going to do today – it’s not raining right now, so I’m hoping that holds out long enough for us to get in a run today, but we’ll see. Other fun plans include lots of laundry and prepping for the week since I’ll be gone all afternoon tomorrow. We may be heading to a friend’s house later today, but I haven’t heard back from them yet.
