This is going to be quick because:
1. it’s getting late and I’m tired :)
2. My stomach is all topsy turvy and I think I know why.
I hope you try that cinnamon bread recipe! It’s so good. I had two of my coworkers try it today and they both approved of it. Plus, Nick liked it and he’s the best taste tester on healthy versions.
I was pretty hungry this afternoon, so I got into this green smoothie around 3:30 or so
This one had about 2 cups of kale (I always spell it kups of kale – weird, huh?), 1 cup milk, 1/2 banana, and some PB2 (courtesy of Lindsay). Good.
Dinner tonight was one of our fancy eating-at-my-desk dinners since we had group after work. At least it tasted good!
We both had leftovers of the Smoky Shepherd’s Pie from Sunday night – I think it was even better tonight – it didn’t look as pretty, but it was good. I kept hitting little pockets of the smoked cheddar cheese in the mashed potatoes :)
After dinner, we drove over to the mall to burn a little time before group started. Don’t you hate when you have some stuff in mind that you want and then it just doesn’t fit right? I had seen some cute stuff at the Gap a few weekends ago, so I went back tonight. Most of it was on sale, but nothing fit or felt right. Oh well – I guess I saved some money?
Since we still had a few minutes (and we both wanted a treat), we went into Ben & Jerry’s and I got this beauty:
This is a small Vanilla Fudge Chip, and is made with Splenda. Oh, it tasted good, but I just don’t think I can handle artificial sweeteners anymore. My stomach has been all weird since I ate it. *Note to self: remember this next time to save yourself from tummy weirdness!
