Thought Overload

Sorry for the bad post name – I totally could not think of anything. I have so much stuff going on in my head this week…

This afternoon, I had a snack inspired by Beadie  :)  And it was great!

Yogurt, frozen mixed berries (they turn the yogurt pink!) and some mini chocolate chips. Yummm….now I know why she has this for a snack! It was the perfect thing to fuel my run this afternoon.

Running went pretty well – we ran about 27 minutes, and I had the side stitches a few times, but I was able to get rid of them by focusing on breathing deeply again. I am so happy about this! I was getting so frustrated a few weeks ago, and this is giving me hope. I definitely ran a bit slower than normal, but if I can run without side stitches teh whole time – it’s worth it.

Dinner was really good and easy – I love leftovers!

We had leftover Jerk Pork Loin, Peas’n’Bulgur, and roasted zucchini.

So good it deserves a second picture –

Everything that’s come from this forbidden foods challenge has been great for me, but it has my mind working overtime.

Do you have days where you just can’t stop processing stuff?

Running today helped a bit, but it’s still just going and going and…   :)

  1. I have overprocessing days all the time… I tend to just force myself to stop, and only think about ONE thing at a time. Glad you could run though, I still can’t :(

  2. Whoa, I totally want your dinner.

  3. Glad you liked the snack and glad you were able to focus on your breathing and get through your run a little easier.

Yes, my mind goes 100 miles a minute most of the time. I like yoga, meditation or coloring mandalas to help me focus my attention and calm my crazy mind.

  4. Sometimes I drink 2 cups of green tea at night (dumb)… but when I do my mind is up all night racing a million miles a minute… so hard to put it to rest after that.

  5. I definitely have days when I just can’t stop processing stuff. In fact, I consider it part of the way I am. It bugs me to death but I am over-analytical about almost everything. I keep thinking and thinking, contemplating, analyzing, wondering, imagining… certain things I want to just let go but they keep popping up or repeating themselves over and over in my head. Exercise can definitely help. Going for a run usually helps clear my mind a bit and refreshes me.

  6. I hate those days where you just can’t seem ro relax because my mind is racing.
That roasted zucchini looks so good!
